“Katy Summers has written something truly wonderful, and so beautifully observed.” – Stuart Martin

“The chemistry between our two love interests jumped off the page...an engaging and accomplished debut, a stand-out read.” – Tanera Simmons

“I found it difficult to believe that Love Rebooted is a debut. It's well-paced, the characters jumped from the page, it grabbed my attention and didn't let it go.” - Sue Moorcroft

_____________

FRIENDS. RIVALS. LOVERS.

Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after.

But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend at university, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it. In fact, she hasn’t thought about him since.

Unlike Finn who is delighted to have Liv back in his life. Could this finally be his chance to rescue their friendship after all these years? But he knows it’s only a matter of time until he wins the job and Liv gets laid off. He hates everything about it, but he’s a single dad with a daughter to support, so losing isn’t an option – not even to his soulmate.

But in the close proximity of a cut-throat corporate world, Finn finds himself falling first and soon his priority becomes breaking down Liv’s barriers. As the pair struggle to keep their professional and personal lives separate, Liv starts to think maybe Finn’s suggestion of a friendship reboot isn’t such a bad idea after all…

And as for that funny feeling inside… no, that’s nothing. Nothing at all…

Narrated by Emily Atack (star of Rivals) & Stuart Martin (star of Miss Scarlet and The Duke), LOVE, REBOOTED is a steamy, slow burn romance that will steal the heart of your inner-nerd. Because if we want a second chance at love, sometimes we have to ask ourselves the most obvious question: Have you tried turning it on and off again?

The voice actors were perfect, The communication between characters was the best. The story was beautiful and no drama created from characters failing to communicate.

Excellent from beginning to end

First romance I’ve listened to/read where the characters were dynamic and realistic. The narrators were great. I really enjoyed it

I absolutely devoured this audiobook. I have never felt so seen by an FMC both in personality and nerddom. I loved the LOTR references, the raw realness of the characters, and the way this story concluded. It was perfect, although I was hoping for 600 more pages/minutes of this story. 100000/10 would/will listen again.

The Utter Nerdity!

I don't do reviews but am making an exception for this one.

Romances are too often unrelatable and over the top... actually, cringey. (shudder) I now suspect its because they're written about, and for, neurotypicals.
Ollie & Stanley are neurodivergent couple goals. Their story is believable because we all suck at communication at least some of the time. They're both flawed but the growth in their self-awareness is endearing.
Max & Ollie's instant friendship is believable because of my own experience with other female autists. Empathy is our superpower.

The spicey scenes didn't feel like the whole purpose of the story, as they do in many romances, but rather felt necessary for the development of the story.

The second chance trope is well executed. We almost all wonder what might have been with one person or other.

Well done on a very enjoyable book, Katy Summers!
