Baseball players are notoriously superstitious, and Ross is somehow convinced I'm his good luck charm. One who brings him success by sleeping with him.

The problem with this arrangement begins when those funny, fuzzy things called feelings get involved. Eventually, his elevator pitch is no longer an easy walk in the ballpark or a simple sleepover in his bed.

And I'm worried I'll be the one left in the outfield when the season ends.

Absolutely amazing!!!

LB Dunbar's books are always so wonderful!! Being over 40 myself, this book truly touched my heart. Everyone deserves love and Ross and V were meant to be! These 2 narrators brought the book to life beautifully !!

Love me a silver fox

This was such an easy fun read. I loved the how it’s about love after loss and 2nd chance love for both characters. It’s so nice to read about older characters having a fun time together and you can find love at any age. Some parts were a little repetitive like some of the FMCs thoughts about their relationship but all in all I listened to this in 1 day because I couldn’t put it down!

Put Me In Coach!!

I love LB Dunbar’s books. I love that there are older characters that fall in love and do all the spicy things.

This story is very heartwarming in the way that Ross and Vee are navigating grief due to the loss of their spouses. Their feelings are portrayed in a very real and vulnerable way. And she does a great job of showing how these characters navigate introducing each other to their families including adult children.

The baseball story is well done and it is a perfect read for the late days of summer as the season begins to wrap up.

The narrators did a great job of bringing this story to life.

Perfect meet cute

I really like L.B. Dunbar's books about the over 40 age group. When Vee and her baseball idol, Ross Davis, meet in an elevator and get stuck, the superstition starts. He ends up getting his dream coaching job and the team starts winning after Vee and Ross just sleep together. Things get better between them and it's not just superstition anymore. Can they make a real relationship with baseball games and superstitions getting in the way? I enjoyed listening to Patrick Zeller and Willa Jaymes. I'm looking forward to the next book.
