New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong continues the atmospheric Haven's Rock series as Casey Duncan investigates a threat to their off-the-grid Yukon town. This program is read by Thérèse Plummer, winner of multiple Audie and Earphone awards.

Detective Casey Duncan and her husband, Sheriff Eric Dalton, are entering a new chapter of life as parents to their six-month-old baby. Their family is hidden away in the sanctuary town of Haven's Rock where they can live safe and private lives. But when they encounter hikers too close to the borders of Haven's Rock, they realize they're in danger of being exposed.

When they find one of the hikers dead the next day, they realize that their paranoia was justified, but they're no closer to finding out who these people were and what they were doing in the vicinity of Haven's Rock. Only by tracing the hikers' movements, as well as examining the recent behavior of their closest neighbors, the workers of a secretive mining camp, will they be able to figure out where the threat is coming from and shut it down. Otherwise, the lives of everyone in Haven's Rock--and their safe, secure new existence--are at risk.

Is that it’s too short! I love this series and now I have to wait for the next one.

My only complaint…

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Lots of characters to keep track of, good storyline but could have used a bit more suspense. Good dog/bear scene description though.

Excellent narroratoration.

I have read the whole series and this one did not disappoint. Great read.

This was another well-plotted story with excellent narration. I hope this wasn't the last in the series.

Enjoyable Read

I've read both Rockton and Havens Rock series. As much as I like to visit Casey and Eric and their baby in the wilderness of Canada we spent far too much time in Casey's head in this book!

There are 87 people in Haven's Rock but we hardly met anyone! If I remember right the other books showed us the other characters a lot more! There was a lot of walking in the forest and feeding the baby! I'm sure that other things were going on as well! We have no clue what Eric thinks about anything!

Casey and Eric are walking with their baby and dog when they find two hikers who are lost. The guy had injured his ankle and they had lost the GPS, compass and map!

They don't like finding people that close to town! Are they really just hikers or something else!?

Some of the people in town are hiding from what had happened to them before. Is someone looking for one of them!?

Things get even worse when they find two dead bodies in the forest!

I used one of my credits and bought this book from Audible.

Too much time in Casey's head! What does Eric think about anything!?
