Absolutely loved this story!

Absolutely loved this story! Action packed, some really great spicy scenes and just the right amount of banter between the two main characters. This book is a dual POV that is easy to follow and switches POVs exactly when you are wanting to know what the other character is thinking. The world building is creative while still being easy to follow. No glossary needed for confusing words etc. I am excited to see where this series goes!

🎧👑 Crown of Slumber

This was my first book by R. L. Perez, and I was hooked. I listened to the 14 hour, 41 minute audiobook on Audible, narrated by Evelyn Rose and Tim Paige, and the dual narration was excellent. Their performances brought real depth and emotion to the characters, making this an easy and immersive listen.

The story follows Princess Aurelia, who carries far more responsibility than she ever wanted, and Prince Fenn, a powerful, guarded presence with his own burdens to bear. Their dynamic is very much she needs him, he needs her — layered with tension, reluctant trust, and undeniable chemistry. Add in dragons, political intrigue, action-packed moments, and a touch of spice, and you’ve got a fantasy romance that keeps the pages (or chapters) turning.

The pacing stayed strong throughout, the world-building was engaging without being overwhelming, and the romance felt earned. This was one of those audiobooks I kept finding excuses to keep listening to.
