I need a book 2!!!!

As always Jeff Strand made me laugh, and cringe through the whole book. I love horror stories, but funny horror stories might be my favorite. Jeff weaves the best tales. This one was great and I want a second book out of Bloodsucker County. The main character Bill, along with Lance and his mom were perfect players in this vampire book.

Great Book!!

This is a great read even though it’s not very long. The story captures you and keeps you engaged the entire time. I love a great vampire story and this one was just that!

Fast-paced Vampire Action

I really enjoyed this book. I'm not normally into dystopian novels but this book was special. As far as dystopian goes, I'd call Bloodsucker County, "light dystopian". This book is fast-paced and highly readable/listenable and has an undercurrent of wry humor running through it. So, no endless vampire zombies constantly popping up for chapter after chapter.

The tale starts with Lance, the 19 year old hero finding a near-death vampire slayer out in the forest near his family home in rural Ohio. The rest of the story involves Lance, his mom, the vampire slayer and the residents of the town fighting for their life against the hoards of bloodsuckers. The only downfall with this book is it's length. It ended way too early. Here's hoping the author will see fit to write a sequel or more.

A truly unique voice in horror fiction

Jeff Strand has one of the most unique voices in horror/dark fiction today. His signature comedic style and biting dialog are in a class all it's own. With Bloodsucker Country, mix in appropriate amounts of gore and chaos and get ready for a ride. Not my favorite Strand perhaps, but still extremely Strand and I blew thru the audiobook in one afternoon.

Great new twist on the vampire trope …

A very different twist on the vampire trope set in a dystopian landscape. I really enjoyed this one. It was graphic, fast paced and the characters were memorable and well developed. In typical Jeff Strand fashion the dialog was excellent and there were splashes of humor well placed throughout the story. I listened to the audiobook and the narration added to my enjoyment of the story as well.
I would recommend this one for all fans of horror.
