SCREAM-ed

WTH was that ending?!! That cliffhanger is wild. A mafia and bodyguard romance?!! Why choose?!!! Yeah definitely my type!

It’s Showtime!!!

Sabrina was not playing when she said “It’s Showtime.” Amy and Joe did their thing!!! Not shocking, but still needed to be said. Amy NAILED all the emotions of Sabrina. And Joe with his many voices? At what point is he going to stop setting the bar so high? It’s not fair for others at this point. The way he did Parker and Maverick both with southern accents yet still have their own sound!?!?! My goodness.

And Ruby! I’m blown away. Sabrina going through something tragic and showing a completely different way of coping than what Raven did is ugh! I’ve never felt so seen. It was refreshing to see anxiety represented in such a real way (again, shout out to Amy!). Keep doing what you’re doing Ruby. You’ve got me hooked on your stories. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

PS… the spice in this book!!! It was such a slow burn in the beginning but my goodness. Once that little spark flew it was like there was an accelerant in the story. Sabrina may have made them wait, but boy is she just as wild as our quad from Speak. I can’t wait for book 2!

Joe Arden is incredible.

What a talented narrator Joe Arden is. The narrator for Sabrina also did incredible. Story seemed to lack a little plot.. and seemed to slow down towards the end but in true Ruby Darling fashion the spice delivered.

MAFIA BOSS, BODYGUARD!

I loved this book. Raven is still my bad ass fighter, but Sabrina had another battle that she was and still is willing to overcome! Parker and Maxim are the best Ying and Yang. One is a tougher brute, the other is a softie to her but touch her and die person. Ugh the voice narrators never fail to make this book come alive!! The tension, the pain, the happiness from these actors are divine! Can’t wait for the second book to come out!

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t believe it ended like that 🫣 I will be not so patiently waiting for the next book
