Troy is incredibly talented!

Being a huge fan of the movies for many years, this new story line took some getting used to. By the end, I was so enthralled and found myself wanting more from this reboot! I can wait to see what happens next!

Brilliant Continuation of the Boondock Saints Universe

There are plenty of times when authors read their own works and it's a sub par job, or the story doesn't have the quality needed for the job, neither of those things are an issue here.

Well written and performed as well as a fun experience in general give a great addition to the Saints Universe. Troy Duffy pulls off the differing voices and keeps it all clean and crisp.

Fan of the Boondock Saints or just want a great story, pour a shot of Irish courage in your coffee and buckle up buttercup, this is for you.

The brothers are back!

I didn’t know what to expect going into this, but I really really really enjoyed it! It was wonderful to get a really great fleshed out story focused on the brothers and what makes them who they are. I also really liked seeing who Rocco actually was too. You can really tell that this was a labor of love and self published. There are times when there’s small audio issues where you can tell another microphone was used but that’s very rare and does not affect the overall quality. The writing and storytelling is really solid and Troy does a great job narrating everything. If you call yourself a Boondock Saints fan you have to check this out!

The Saints Are Back!

I've been a Boondock fan for decades and I had my doubts about this. After more than ten years since the release of the sequel, I thought that Boondock Saints was done for and that a book would be a cash grab, but boy was I wrong.

The boys are back in their unwoke glory, it is unfair to spoil a thing but I should have known that Troy Duffy would breathe a cloud of fresh Jameson whiskey into the story of the Saints, giving us what we never knew we needed, and creating (not expanding) something truly *bloody (I wanted to use the f word) mind-blowing.

This is certainly a unique deep dive into the world of Connor and Murphy without it being watered down by a studio, and believe you me, it is very Irish, brash, and true to what Troy did with the movies.
It being read by the author is a bright turn, and it brings back memories of my dad reading us stories at Christmas.

He clearly knows his shit, and this is 17 hours of pure adventure and laughs, and to reference the first film… everybody is Irish joining in on this.

Loved it. Will probably listen to it non-stop from now on.

The Boys are back...kind of

If you've never heard of the Boondock Saints, this will be a fun, action packed story about two Irish brothers making their way in modern day Boston. If you've seen the movies, this will be very confusing. At first, anyway. Something I didn't realize before listening to this book is that this is a reboot of the original story. I kept thinking it was a prequel that would lead up to the events of the first movie, but that's not the case. Think of this as a Marvel movie where there's an alternate universe. You'll know the characters, but the events won't be the same as the movie. Essentially, this is the Boondock universe for a more modern age. Troy does an amazing job of voicing all the characters, and you can tell he is very passionate about it. In fact, I think he should start doing more books.
