So sweet, it will rot your teeth out

This book has similar energy to the other four but there’s a lot less man everyone wants to kill her. It’s a lot more of a happy ending vibe. I loved it.

I cried

I love this series. I was sad that it was so short, but it was still so amazing. Considering I know about this couple, it for some reason just made me cry. I kinda wish the spice was a bit more, but the story more than made up for that in my opinion.

Short, Simple, Bittersweet

The romance between Alys and her undine is something the two of are quick to fall into, with intrigue on both sides and less of the interspecies amenity that later develops. That can be a hit or miss for some, but personally it worked fine for me! Coming to this after book 4 was interesting, with later series revelations clicking with the puzzle pieces here. Definitely not a part of the series I would recommend skipping over, optional as it may seem! The displacement of the undine as the humans prepared to build their cities was perfectly harrowing to hear told, like tales from the war front.

Wonderful Writing

Emma Hamm is a fantastic storyteller. every book in this series warms my heart... and other regions. Lol A combination I have a hard time resisting. Keep up the steamy work! I'm really looking forward to whatever happens next in this series!!!

Most wholesome of the entire series

Not a slowburn like the others and Imba is so wholesome and sweet
I love how welcoming his Pod was of Alice
And I loved the 40 years in the future glimpse we got My Favorite overall next to book 4 and 2
