Grant Stockton is the devil incarnate. The cowboy turned casino-owning crime boss has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember—first as my older brother’s best friend, then as my guardian when my brother died at his side, and now as the rival bar owner and landlord running me into the red.

He might be the head of The Quiet Horsemen, the man everyone else in this town fears, but I’m not about to cede a single inch of ground to him. If I have to lie, cheat, and steal to keep him from finding out my bar’s underwater—well, that’s exactly what I’ll do. At least until he breaks into my apartment and discovers my secret. One that gives him all the leverage he needs to control my fate. My only reprieve is that The Horsemen are in the middle of a war, one that’s been spilling blood for the better part of a decade, and his enemies are closing in on our small mountain town. Which is why I’m taken off guard by the demand he makes in exchange for keeping my secret.

Apparently there are benefits to being at the mercy of the devil…

Holy F💋ck this 🎧book was fricken fantastic the only reason it didn’t get a perfect score it was missing a wedding and babies! It does end with a HFN instead of a HEA ugh. The duet narration was HAF with Sean Masters & Emma Wilder who narrated this 🎧book to perfection! I know you’re wondering if this 🎧book is worth a credit?
YES DADDY Grant!😘

"I want every part of you. Your mind. Your heart. I’m gonna earn them all. It’s gonna take time, though, and you’re gonna have to be patient with me while I learn to trust myself with them. I have to figure out how I can balance how much I don’t deserve you with how much I need you. That’s probably gonna take a lifetime and then some, and I don’t know if either of us is ready for it.”

Duet Narration by Emma Wilder and Sean Masters
4.5⭐

Tropes:
Guardian to lovers
Forced proximity
Slow-burn tension
Morally gray MMC
Small-town danger

This audiobook leans hard into tension and payoff. I was here for the chemistry—whew, but the Bull Rush relic pushing the story into more dangerous territory kept me glued until the end.

Emma Wilder gives Dakota emotional depth and strength, while Sean Masters’ Grant is controlled, dark, and magnetic. Their duet narration creates incredible intimacy and tension throughout.

Come for the chemistry, stay for the danger—and hit play knowing the payoff is worth it. About to dive into West Bound!!

The Devil You Fall For

I didn’t know how the author would be able to top Hazel and Ramsey but she did a really great job with these two characters. Between their backstory and their tension I loved reading/listening to every minute of Grant and Dakota falling in lust and then in love. I swear Sean Masters topped his own performances as Grant. Hands down my favorite narrator male or female! I can’t wait to hear the rest of the story with Levi!

Grant and Dakota were 🔥🔥🔥!

Enemies to lovers done perfectly

I loved this story and Daddy Grant.
It felt unfinished though, so much importance put on a back story, but then very little resolution at all. Building for the 3rd book, but would have liked a bit more to it.
The rising intonation at the end of almost every female sentence was a little tough to handle after a while, but she did wonderful otherwise.

Great story but felt unfinished
