USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR & #1 POST-APOCALYPTIC FICTION AUTHOR

THE END CAME FIRST AS A WHISPER, THEN AS A PUNCH.

Burning Hollow, Tennessee has always been a town divided. For a century, the powerful Bickmore and Banks families fought for control, creating generational wounds that never healed. When an EMP attack plunges America into chaos, that bitter feud ignites in unfathomable ways.

Rowdy Banks never planned to return to the holler, but the need for family pulled him back to the holler he once called home, straight into the path of Chloe Bickmore and her daughter, Everleigh. Caught in an apocalyptic nightmare, the three collided in a world without trust, the rule of law, or safe harbor. But one act of humanity pitches the community into anarchy, one that will either save them or destroy everything.

Across six books, each one a #1 post-apocalyptic fiction best seller, the struggle to survive runs from back-roads to barricades, escalating from stragglers and small militias to a military invasion. The holler's only chance is to pull its forces tight and harden its defenses. If the survivors hope to survive, bitter rivals must stand as one to protect themselves against their many encroaching enemies.

Critic reviews

Ryan knows how to write action and suspense. But where he truly shines is the flawed, complex, and broken but resolute heroes and heroines he creates.–Kyla Stone, USA Today Bestselling Author of The Edge of Collapse series.

I listen to doomsday stories because I learn things. Little things like food shortages, gardening etc. And things that apply to safety and security.

The wide cast of characters lends to the SHTF storyline.

I'm not going to write what I liked or didn't like. I will say that it is my hope that many read this whole series sooner rather than later. Great job Ryan!

Great read/listen for all!

Love the length and the interaction between each character. Their development and never got boring. Husband thought it was a little violent in the descriptions of the death, but I thought it showed what war/death is like. Best part of book? NARRATOR Kevin Pierce. No one better. I could listen to him in every audio book!

The family and friend relationships and each character.

UGH!!!! to many good people lost but spoiler and the thing that gave me the stress THE DOG LIVES AT THE END. i bought the complete series and loved every book and the writing was made all the better being read by Kevin Pierce. Mr Pierce is my favorite narrator and in the past i have bought books just because he was narrating them. this story, these stories Mr Schow are well written and very enjoyable, thank you. i did many times want to smack Rowdy and Cody and especially Chloe. i just finished the last book and am digesting the series now maybe theere could be other stories about Evie and Huckleberry as teenagers with a dog of their own and the Banks brothers ofcourse and please dont kill anyone else from the core family, it makes it so hard to go sometimes. i have even laid down books and walked away from them never to finish them because the core charaters died any way thank you for these wonderful storeis

ug but thanks

This was a good story. Overall, though, it did bounce around a little more than I like.
