'Explosive' - The Times

'A fascinating read' - Evening Standard

'Sensational... A brutal, forensic takedown of the House of Sussex at its most fragile moment yet' The Daily Beast, The Royalist Podcast with Tom Sykes

'The Royal Family's vulnerability was exposed... Treachery in the family was rarely rewarded - as Harry and Meghan realised. The Palace chose silence as its only option... Few could anticipate the endgame.'

The British Crown is in crisis, with constitutional threats at home and abroad. Since their infamous 'Megxit' split from the Royal Family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have dominated global headlines. Ferociously controversial, not least for demanding privacy while seeking the spotlight, the Sussexes have remained a subject of gripping fascination for both supporters and cynics alike. Both camps are united on one platform: what is the endgame?

Fighting to preserve their royal titles and privileges, In their attempts to create a Sussex brand the couple have fuelled bitter hostility. Accusations of disloyalty have been trumped by recriminations about dishonesty. Amid High Court battles with the government and the media, and the infamous publication of Spare, the Sussexes have reeled after successive Netflix flops and their doomed collaboration with Spotify - only to be ridiculed for Meghan's self-invention as a domestic goddess.

At a landmark moment in royal history, the Sussexes' challenge to the British monarchy echoes worldwide. The fallout always threatens to be catastrophic. Just five years on from 'Megxit', can King Charles overcome the scandals that blight the family and limit the Sussexes' threat to the monarchy? Can the broken bonds between the Houses of Sussex and Windsor ever be repaired or will the King choose to strip them of their titles and banish them forever? The Sussexes are in a race against time to solve their predicament.

With inimitable research and exclusive interviews from insiders, Britain's leading investigative biographer Tom Bower exposes the latest contortions in the explosive Royal saga of power and betrayal.

'Tom Bower is the Inspector Morse of investigative biographers, a fluent, phlegmatic story-teller and a master of intricacies.' Sunday Times

Brings everything you knew into context and shines a much clearer light on what Harry and MM have done and continue to do.
I refuse to give any money to these two so of course I didn’t buy Spare. I have however heard plenty about it in it is also mention in Betrayal. Add what Harry put in that book along with this book, Harry is a spoiled entitled self absorbed narcissist who clearly believes he can through his weight around as a so-called Royal and everyone will comply with his demands just because he’s Harry. A lot of it is catching up with him and MM, but they are also realizing that they aren’t who they think themselves to be.

The hatred Harry and MM have for Prince William and Princes Catherine is sickening. Harry knows he’s the spare but in his simple mind he believes he deserves everything that William has. Both of them are so jealous of the Windsors. Imagine the audacity it takes for MM to think that she should be Queen instead of Catherine, and thinks she would be a much better Queen. Yeah, that is who these two people are……..but they don’t want to put in the work or be told what to do which I believe is why they left in the first place. They believed they could do it so much better on their own!! And how has that been working out for them!!!

Unless they change their behavior and stop competing with everything the Royal Family does they will grow to be old and lonely people.

Very disappointing, a complete waste of time and money because there is nothing new whatsoever. All the tedious lists of facts are well known to anyone who hasn’t been living on a deserted planet. All is made worse by the overly plummy and over dramatic narration. The voice was a shock - nothing like the public school, cultured mumbling of Tom Bower himself. And anywhere a female is being quoted, and not only the apparently seriously deranged Meghan, a breathy, silly tone is adopted that is insulting to women everywhere. Do not waste your resources on this and listen to a real mystery instead!

Tedious

Exc. Good narration for a story about what happens when an entitled, not very bright royal marries a malignant narcissist.

I knew that there were a lot of things left out of from the MSM, but once again Mr Bower connects all the lines, dots the i’s, a crosses the T’s. I’m not a fan of H and Mrs Suss, but their game plan is so transparent. It’s nice to see their failed attempts in print.
