I honestly thought it was a poorly done AI generated voice.

This might be the worst reading I’ve experienced. The reader heavily emphasizes the last word or syllable in every sentence. Makes zero sense story wise. I thought it was a poor AI reading. Added to the ridiculous and irritating emphasis the reader is very robotic. Every character has the exact same robotic speech pattern. It is all very unpleasant to listen too. However did did get through the whole story because the story is very good. The plot pacing is good and i got sucked into the developing story. The characters never slip into really stupid behavior that is so often used to move a story along. In fact I’ll probably get the other books in the series but ill be reading it and not subjecting myself to the irritating reader. Honestly she could just speak normally because her voice is pleasant. Ive no clue why she would do such weird distortion of english.

storyline was interesting

I couldn't finish the book. The narration was too off. A lot of the time it sounded like ai. Very stilted

Kinda Good

I like this arthor but this book was a trial to finish. The narrator is not a favorite, seems like she was trying too hard. She distracted me from enjoying the story. The humor usually so evident in Blain's other stories was lacking. Maybe she's trying a new style of writing. I can only hope the next book is better.

Story is excellent

Great story until the end...It was a lot like someone finished up in a hurry. Narrator sounds like a human trying to sound like virtual voice...Just awful but the story was good enough to put up with it. Still, you get what you pay for and it at least was free
