Intense and Emotional!

Levi is an intense love story filled with danger, emotion, steam, second chances, and found family. Part of the La Spezia world of The Four X’s, Levi carries his responsibilities with honor and bravery. This story starts off with a literal bang, and the adrenaline runs hot and heavy throughout this story. Chari is a real and relatable female lead filled with passion and purpose. Though I disagree with how she avoids telling Levi her truth, I LOVE the scene where he discovers he is a father. It is precious and priceless. The moments of family love and humor woven into this intense thriller are beautifully crafted, and watching Levi and Chari reconnect and actually work on building their relationship with each other is so satisfying. In true Bella Stone fashion, the hits keep on coming, and the conclusion is epic. I don’t know how she does it, but she always selects the perfect narrators to provide duet narration for her stories, and this is no exception. The powerful delivery and emotional performances of the various roles is wonderfully done, sucking listeners straight into the heart of the story as if we are right there living it with them.

Phenomenal

Bella Stone - you did it again. This is another beautiful tale of connections, explosions and love. Levi and Chari might come together during war and their time apart always wondering about each other but it is when they finally reunite that love pulls them through the darkest of times. Loved the connection, loved the brotherhood and loved that a little human can bring a man to his knees. A fabulous addition to the series. Perfectly narrated and I could not sleep until it was done!!

My first Audio book review!

When you read a book you imagine what the characters sound like. You have that image in your head. Especially when it is a series like Bella’s.

Well this book blew it out of the park! My brain come to life. Both narrators played the characters perfectly. Giving voice to each character and making them distinctly different.

Levi and Sharry had a one night stand after a harrowing firefight in Afghanistan where she was a reporter embedded with his Ranger unit. 3 years later she ends up at the 4Xs compound as a consultant. With her daughter. Where Levi works. Her 3 year old daughter.

Turns out she is also on the run from a criminal she testified against. And needs protection. The person she testified against is also part of a group that has targeted the 4Xs.

Chaos ensues. The operators of the 4Xs do what they do best. The snark flies as thick as the bullets. And Black Squadron makes an appearance (swoon).

The ladies form their circle around Sharry and her daughter and initiate her into the “family” and show her that her found family is strong and will be there for her and her daughter no matter what happens.

And it happens when her daughter, as well as one of the McKinley daughters is kidnapped.

The narrators are so good you feel the desert heat of the ‘Stan, smell the gunpowder and blood. You can see Levi, Remi, Gunnar and Marco in position around the airport waiting to rescue the girls. You experience Sherry’s terror while she waits to see if her daughter is still alive as the ladies are in lockdown in the panic room. You’re there. In the moment.

Please give these a listen. Andi Eloise and Tor Thom are just amazing. 15/10 recommend!!!

Levi's family

Levi met Cheri while he was deployed and she was doing her journalism thing. Active in the field with a lot of sand and unexpected activities going on in order to get her story. What she did while they were out in combat, she cannot really describe because of course it is classified. The relationship that she had with Levi was also classified... till it wasn't. Four years later and Levi is with the Four X's Group. Cheri has information they are researching, any help to do recon on specific people is needed. So, she is now flown to Italy with her daughter to the location. Some entires are pretty intense with bit family and work. Levi has to come to grips of the surprise that she did not tell him about. And he is willing to learn how to put a car seat by shoving it with his shoulder to stablize it to make sure that is correct. All the joys of fatherhood! There are funny situations. They're intense situations. And little toddler is the center of it all. So as we know adults who use potty words to sit in the naughty corner! And Levi's learning very quickly it is a good audiobook with two narrators with Andy Eloise and Tor Thom leading the way to make it more enjoyable. This is book 6 from the Four X's Group.

Loved reading!

I loved reading Levi. I couldn't put it down, and I loved the characters and banter. I had such a good time reading it and found myself chuckling along the way. I like that I could picture the story and how it kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next.
This is a series of interconnected standalones; the books can be read in any order. However, you may run into spoilers for the previous books. I have read nearly every book in the series so far and don't feel like I am missing vital details.

This is more for 18+ readers, as some content may not be suitable for all.
