A good story. Not her best.
This is the third of a series. A good plot. Not much regarding the personal relationships between/ among the cops that made the first two of the series so good. So I'm a bit disappointed.

I like the mystery and how everything uraveled. I also enjoyed the Cajun culture language, it was fun to listen to.

Loved it.
Enjoyable story, very layered with good twists. I loved revisiting Broussard and Fourcade and the other familiar characters. I loved revisiting Tami Hoag’s writing.

She’s Back!
Tami Hoag is back and with some of our favorite characters from the bayou. New dangers, mystery’s, grudges, and characters. I was excited to read anything from Tami again and she did not disappoint and kept true to our friends in the bayou.

Beautiful story
I just discovered Tami Hoag and have been binging on her books. This series is my favorite and this book in particular. The sensitive and compassionate way she depicts addiction is beautiful and I hope many learn from her words as they enjoy them.

Good story terrible narrator
The story is great. But if there’s one thing you can count on the narrator, Hillary Huber, to do is mispronounce well known words and names and butcher accents 😒
Karen Peakes narrated the first book in the series and spoiled us with an incredible performance.
