Now that Mimi Capurro and Charles Parks are co-owners of Gotcha Detective Agency, and Mimi is single again, all should be going well, especially since they just landed a cushy new contract with the local police department.
The prostitution decoy sting operation is in full swing and has the stamp of approval from the chief of police. Mimi can't help but be impressed with how her employees look in fishnet stockings and pushup bras. And everything is going great until one of the decoys disappears from the sting operation.
Now the Gotcha detectives must find the woman and find out who would want her to disappear, possibly for good, before the police department vice squad realizes she's gone.
This case will try the nerves of the Gotcha detectives and bring Nick back into Mimi's life. Is it possible for them to work together and just be friends?

Author added, male narrator.
In this story Charles has half the book. New Male narrator has poor cadence so the Charles, that we know when Mrs. Zachman voices him with energy and snark is not here. Author added a male voice, because some of her fans gave negative reviews with just a female narrator so now we only have half of the Zachman’s talent in this book .
In book 8 the author goes back to just miss Zackman, and that book is a delight

the changing povs is new, the others in the series till now were all from mimis pov.
don't really care for the male narrator. the translation between the two povs is jarring, it takes a while to get back into the story.

Take away to man’s voice
When I started listening to this series a couple mo the back I got used to listening to the woman’s voice for Mimi. I didn’t care for Charles’s voice.
