About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author of the acclaimed Love’s Journey series comes the story of Bertha Troyer.

In 1959, after reading a heartbreaking plea for medical personnel, Bertha Troyer, a beautiful young Amish woman from Sugarcreek, rebels against church rules and enters nursing school determined to pour out her life on behalf of the desperate children of Haiti.

This fourth installment of the Sugarcreek series follows Rachel’s beloved aunt, Bertha, back in time to a nightmare of poverty, political unrest, and the fury of nature, as Bertha is forced to make the most agonizing decision of her life in order to protect her people - and the man - she loves.

Enjoyed

Had a good story line that was brought to life by good narration by
Lenora WoodWorth. Given audio for my voluntary review

Not a disappointment.

An engaging story and it brought the sugarhaus series full circle to a lovely ending. Kudos, as always, to the narrator.

Bertha’s Resolve. Book 4

This whole series was so good. The first book it took me a while to get use to the Narration as I said back then. Then it was just fine for the rest of the series.
I liked that the Narrator did not try to change her voice for each person. Used he said, she said, etc often and that worked and wish other stories would do this.

Wishing that another book would go on in the series. Hoping I can find another book of hers to start. Do like the Amish.

Love prevails

I like this 4th book of this series as much as the previous 3. I enjoy how the writer makes it seem as though you are a part of the Sugar Creek Community and all of the things that go on there.

Riveting

Excellent series, every book was excellent. Surprising very different from any other Amish stories I have read. Fantastic narrator too.
