Publisher's summary

A standalone contemporary romantic suspense novel from the NYT best-selling author of the Titan Series.

"I can't shake the feeling that somebody's watching me."

One second life was normal, and the next for Ella Leighton, not so much. A social media maven who made her living saving sea turtles, the decision to join a reality TV show was a good one for the cause. But for her...the adjustment wasn't easy.

Her publicist used phrases like online personality. An overnight celebrity. Everyone explained that was why she couldn't shake the feeling. But none of their excuses could explain the letters. The pictures. And then her stalker crossed the line, triggering the demand for security.

Bishop O'Kane didn't expect to come face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend when Titan sent him on bodyguard duty. The woman he once loved, the same one he walked away from years ago, was now his responsibility. Opposites in every way, they couldn't be more different, but maybe they had never needed each other more.

With the FBI falling short in their investigation, the Titan team must rally around the woman with millions of followers, protecting her from her own as Bishop and Ella forge a path of second chances and forgiveness, unburying the past in order to survive.

Bishops Queen

If you could sum up Bishop's Queen in three words, what would they be?

Real page turner!

What other book might you compare Bishop's Queen to and why?

This book reminded me of the KGI books by Maya Banks.

Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?

Bishop, he was an alpha manly man on the run from his past. But when his past shows up at his door, he has to make a choice to protect Ella or walk away forever.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

almost :)

Eco-Ella is a keeper

At first I thought Eco-Ella was a bit over the top. The initial chapters didn't seem to live up to the intense opening. And I loathe social media addicts. But then she grew on me like kudzu.

The post-sex embarrassment scene in the hotel room had me giggling uncontrollably. As did Bishop's naked dance act or his total freak out around kids and marrieds at the barbecue.

I didn't think I was hooked on this book until I put my phone down next to my bed, thinking, "I'll just listen for a half hour or so. No need to put this on the sleep timer." At 2:45 in the morning as I happily snuffled through the conclusion, I realized I was totally screwed because I needed to be up in FOUR hours. Oops!

The narrator had me so deep in the story that I forgot it was being read aloud and I simply sank into the characters' heads. That's the mark of perfection for me.

Great Contemporary Romantic Suspense!

This was a great story. From the beginning, I was drawn to the story and the great characters. It was very well written.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life and expressing emotions.

The story got intense towards the end and kept me in the edge of my seat. I enjoyed everything about this book. It was a perfectly woven romance with some suspense thrown in there to spice it up. It is a second chances love story.

It is a fantastic stand alone story even though it is part of a series. It has a HEA conclusion. I'm looking forward to listening to more books in this great series.

Awesome Listen!

I was familiar with both the author and narrator before listening to this book, so I knew it would be good. I have several books in this series in my library. Cristin Harber has great writing style. The story had me gripped from the very beginning until the end. Jeffrey Kafer's performance was spot on. He was able to convey various emotions, tension and urgency with his voice that one would not get just reading the book. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator and or publisher.

New guy Bishop reconnects with his first and only love

A tragic beginning but the remainder of the story was, for the most part, action packed, sweet, and ironically amusing. It was a little longer than it needed to be given that the villain was identified almost from the beginning, and that it seemed to take forever for Ella and Bishop to reconnect physically and almost the end before they admit their feelings. Ella is a reality TV blogger fighting for numerous environmental causes while learning to cope with being a celebrity. A different type of Titan heroine bet an interesting one though a bit stubborn and the opposite of security conscious. . Mia’s welcome barbecue was a highlight which I hope we’ll have more of though now she’ll need to add some vegan dishes to the menu. The series is well written and entertaining with strong women to balance the alpha males. A great addition in suspense category for the Romance Package.

REMARKABLE "OPPOSITES ATTRACT" ROMANCE & NARRATION

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is my first Cristin Harper book. I've been missing out on some talent! There's are new enough twists to both characters to make this "Opposites Attract" love story sparkle. The antagonist is easy to spot... it's his actions that are surprising. Cristin writes well and the book is long enough that characters and landscapes are well developed.

I have listened to Jeffrey Kafer in the past but it's been a year, or maybe two. He's got a great voice and tempo and really does this book justice. Looking into Cristin's other audiobooks, Jeffrey narrates them all, occasionally with Xe Sands who (IMHO) is awesome, too. Rock solid reason to listen to all her works!!

Two Thumbs Up!!!
