Publisher's summary

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.

It's more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine...and it's coming between her and the man she's fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.

Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life-altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far-reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.

If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels and work not only with those she loves but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.

Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves - and, ultimately, to save herself.

Good story but too much angst

I enjoyed this trilogy but when it got too angsty I just wanted to throw something. Like the first third of this book could have easily been shortened if Ivy just had a real conversation with Ren, it really didn't need to take 3 painstaking hours of 'woe is me'. Aside from that, some of the lustful thoughts and sex scenes seem a bit misplaced, like it was being shoved down our throats. Also, really odd that they all could have missed the unexplained name change from David to Daniel. Other than that, it was an interesting story with decent twists and turns and betrayals (Still sad about Val)

Meh

I finished the first 2 books and thought they were really good, but JA has a nasty habit of making the MCs inner monologue wayyy to long. Same with arguments between the MC and the main love interest. Everything was too drawn out in this book and I was over listening to the MC complain over and over again about the same stuff in her head. The narrator is decent thought.

Great series!

This was a great conclusion to Ren and Ivy. For the first half of the book there is still relationship angst between Ren and Ivy but love how everything works out! I freaking love Tink. He may be one of my favorite side characters or all time. So funny throughout this whole book. Oh and the twist and revalation I did not see coming. I am never disappointed with Jennifer l Armentrout's books. I loved Amy Landon's narration!

Wonderful

Any additional comments?

This is book 3 in the series and it's just as action packed and funny as the first 2. I love the main characters but I think I love Tink the most. If you have not read (listened to)this series you are missing out.

Overall, the best book in the trilogy!

I would have given this book a solid 5 ⭐️ rating but, the Heroine’s tendency to repeat the same stupid behaviors, I and expect different results, annoys the absolute crap out of me. Otherwise, this book has lots of action and intrigue. There are betrayals from people who you would never expect such behavior. There are secrets revealed and unlikely allies. There is the reality of PTSD for those who suffer trauma. There is a story containing the kind of love that can bring you back from the brink. Finally, there is an ending that allows more of a story to develop, in the future; without a dreaded cliffhanger. Basically, it’s a novel and a performance that is worth the cost of a credit.

Ivy Progressed into a Bad B!

Loved the progression of the main character. Loved Tink!! And the fact that the author gave the fae’s side of the story made everyone start rethinking and redefining themselves.

Meehhh

It was alright. I loved the first 2 books but this one had a lot of self pity and whining.
