Publisher's summary

In a world where everyone is the same, one girl is the unthinkable: unique. A high-stakes fast-paced series launch from New York Times best-selling author Rachel Vincent. We have brown hair. Brown eyes. Fair skin. We are healthy and strong and smart. But only one of us has ever had a secret.

Dahlia 16 sees her face in every crowd. She's nothing special - just one of 5,000 girls created from a single genome to work for the greater good of the city.

Meeting Trigger 17 changes everything. He thinks she's interesting. Beautiful. Unique. Which means he must be flawed. When Dahlia can't stop thinking about him - when she can't resist looking for him, even though that means breaking the rules - she realizes she's flawed, too. But if she's flawed, then so are all her identicals. And any genome found to be flawed will be recalled.

Destroyed.

Getting caught with Trigger would seal not only Dahlia's fate, but that of all 5,000 girls who share her face. But what if Trigger is right? What if Dahlia is different? Suddenly the girl who always follows the rules is breaking them, one by one by one.

Interesting so far

She has an interesting view of our world. It makes me think of the movie The Truman Show where being raised differently changes your perspective on the world entirely.

different then expected in a good way

this story was so different then expected. I have been wanting to read but kept putting off not really sure why. I have always been a huge fan of Rachel Vincent. this book though was well written although at times I found it a bit tedious and kind of wish it skipped along but the beginning I realize was a set up for the real story. by the last couple hours I was stuck to my seat waiting to hear what is next for Dahila 16 and Trigger 17. great story but be prepared for binge session on both books of this awesome duology

Disappointing ending!

Great story but when it was about to climax it ended abruptly, leaving me disappointed. Is it a lazy author, a deadline to meet or a ploy to make me buy a sequel?

Wow what a Treat ... What a Talent

Too much to detail for consistency, imagintation and raw potential ... this book contains so many facets of true future considerations and person story telling. Can anyone writer keep up this level of draw, pleasure and serious reader depth of surrender?

Where is the ending?

This book is interesting and enjoyable until it abruptly ends at the peak of the excitement. I assumed there must be a sequal but there was no indication of one in existence or in the works for the future. I am very disappointed that I wasted my time with this one. If the book actually ends at chapter 21, and not just a strange fluke, the ending is awful.
