Overamped performance

The author s a good storyteller, and this book is no exception. My enjoyment of this book was diminished by the narrator. Call it overacting. Most readers want a little life in the narration, but too much can get annoying. This one crossed that line.

Edge of my seat

This is one of Freeman’s best! Baldacci fans will love. Compelling characters and plot. Scot Brick, as always, gives a great performance

Could Be an Exceptional Series!

Brian Freeman is an author whose Jonathan Stride and Cab Bolton works made me an Audible fan. He writes excellent mysteries with intriguing, well-formed characters. Break Every Rule continues this and reminds me of the X Series (Evan Smoak), especially with the magnificent Scott Brick narrating the action. The antagonist brings to mind the vileness of Jeffrey Epstein/Gislaine Maxwell, which propels the plot forward. The ending suggests a possible return to Tiger’s life and family beyond Break Every Rule. Count me in.

Great Read Just Not My Favorite of Freeman's

A great story for sure. Full of intrigue and suspense, which Bryan Freeman is known for. However, I didn't find it as engaging as his past books. I had to restart it a couple of times at the beginning. My mind must have wandered off to the point I missed some important details because some things weren't making sense, and I wasn't tracking the characters. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely worth reading but it wasn't one of his books that I couldn't put down.

Great action packed story

Love this author! This story did not disappoint! Not a huge fan of the performance but the story made up for it. Congrats to Brian on 30 books! What a huge accomplishment!!!!

Ready for the movie!

One of the most amazing, suspenseful novels I have ever read. It brought so much joy to listen to the Audible version each day. I have read all of Mr. Freeman’s Bourne novels, but this is the first I’ve read outside of the Bourne universe. I can’t wait to read more of his novels. He is my favorite author but far. I hope they produce the movie based on this story!

Strong characters, great plot

The story is action packed, and while somewhat predictable, there are still some twists that jump out at you. Loved having strong female leads in the middle of a dark Epstein/Diddy type of scenario.

I did not like the narrator at all. Overly dramatic. Not great at accents. Did not enhance the plot.

Loved it!!

Brian Freeman is my favorite author and this book is my new favorite! The story is faced paced and exciting. I didn't want it to end.

Riveting, Relevant, Heart-stopping

Brian Freeman was become one of those authors that’s an instant “buy now” or “pre-order” decision and this book did not disappoint. The story is relevant to current events without making political statements.

Tommy is the epitome of a strong capable man who will do anything to protect his friends and his family. The character development was perfection and the story was masterfully constructed. Simply an amazing read/listen.

As always, Scott Brick did a wonderful job with the narration. He’s not as adept at the female voices as some voice actors but his portrayal of the characters only enhanced the story.

Awful narration!

I’ve listened to just about all of Brian Freeman‘s books. This was a great story, but the narrator was terrible. He was way too theatrical for an action book, and there was no distinction in his voice between characters which made it hard to follow along. This is probably the worst narration of any of Brian’s books.
