know that you are not alone.

As with her other two books, you will laugh, you may cry, you will hopefully nod along knowingly. But most of all, if you've ever felt depression anchoring you down or the pain and frustration of anxiety or panic, you will close the book and take a deep breath feeling like you had a great heart to heart with a close friend, and you will know that you are not alone.

Jenny is my spirit animal!!

I couldn't stop laughing at certain parts & wanted to give her a covid approved distance hug for others. But mostly ... if you know Jenny's books this is probably already in your must reads.

Her voice, as an author, the way she speaks, rambles, jumps around when telling a story is how my brain.. works! and she celebrates it! I don't struggle with all of the issues she has had to, and continues to daily.... but her message... of finding the joy in the chaos speaks to my chaotic mind. Her amazingly quirky humor is a mirror of my own. Do you know that feeling where someone... whom you've never met... just gets you? I do.

Jenny Lawson is my spirit animal. (Can a person be your spirit animal??)

a balance of laughter and realness

i love this author and this book didn't disappoint. i laughed so hard it was probably unsafe for me to be driving at the time since i couldn't see through the tears. the seriousness of some of the chapters were important as well to remember we're not alone in our struggles and that not everything is fun and games. for those who say they're not a fan of her voice/ speech cadence, i would say, i think i remember thinking that on the first book as well. But now when i turn on her books, it's like wrapping up in an old family blanket. even if there are some scratchy spots, it is warm and comforting and filled with happy memories of joyful times.

We’re all broken, and it’s okay

The way Jenny normalizes mental health struggles, and shows that there is a path through is amazing. She does it with humor, and in a way that doesn’t feel like an in-your-face self help book, and that makes it a palatable form of inspiration. Also, it makes me cackle like a crazy person in public spaces and that... is beautiful!

Jenny is the best!

Jenny’s upfront honest look on the world is refreshing. Her delivery of her own words, stories, truths and musings is fantastic. I have laughed aloud in the wrong places while listening to her books- nothing like the people in the grocery store avoiding the cackling lady on aisle 4- even though she cannot reach that box on the top shelf that she needs. Thank our blue tooth ear buds for making me look like I might need to be accompanied in public.

I snot-cry-laughed!!!

It may be her fourth book (fuck you...yes a coloring book counts...it had words didn’t it!) but it is every bit as mind boggling funny, sad, confusing, high-Larry-us as any of those that can e before! When the author start talking about whether you are laughing like a crazy person...or...not; and you are because silver bullet...you know you are your place. I have to wonder if Jenny’s obviously forthcoming Covid confinement book will hit so close to home for millions of new readers, that they will discovery their own adorable personal demon monsters. They can pull them out in public and say lol at this brand of crazy...isn’t is awesome! Fuck yeah it’s awesome!

Can We Be Friends?

I love Jenny’s books! At times it feels like she is narrating your own experiences with mental health as well as the weird things she does. I sit there and think oh God I’m not the only one who thinks these weird things and blurts them out! It’s like she created a friend group for all of us weird souls!
