Publisher's summary

They took something from me, something that I didn’t know I needed until it was too late.

They hurt her.

They broke her…broke us.

Now it’s my turn.

The need for revenge burns through my veins.

I’ll take everything from them.

I’ll hunt them down one by one.

I’ll make them pay in unimaginable ways.

No one will ever hurt her again, not even me.

The only question is, will I find my way back to Aspen before it's too late.

Broken Kingdom

This is the third book in the Corium University series. This book jumps in head first where the devastating cliffhanger of book 2 ended. The bomb that was dropped on Aspen and Quinton was massive. I love how Quinton has always protected Aspen from others wrath, even before he realized he loved her. They did not have an easy journey. Even through all of the hatred and obstacles Aspen and Quinton came out on top together. This is a very dark bully romance. I loved every part. Zara Eden and Connor Brown did a fantastic job narrating this book.

A great ending to the first 3 books

Story was fing fantastic! It made me laugh and cry (ugly cry as well)! It was brutal in the way the fmc was treated all throughout her story from book 1 through book 3. I am completely looking forward to hearing of them & their continuation throughout the next two books.
Performance was not it's best. The female narrator was whining and honestly at times dull. Same for the male narrator. While they did only read their own chapters it would have popped if it was a duet throughout all the books.

Conclusion of Aspen and Quinton's story

This is the 3rd book in the Corium University Series. It's the conclusion of Aspen and Quinton's story. I mean, wow! Poor Aspen could not have suffered anymore! It took a long time for Aspen and Quinton to realize what they meant to each other. I did like the fact that Quinton's mother and sister were so welcoming and kind to Aspen, especially when everyone else has been so mean. I hate what happened to Aspen and that she had such a significant loss. I wasn't expecting who Aspen's real father was. I also wasn't expecting the choice Quinton made to save Aspen. I expected a happy ending but not necessarily that. Good conclusion to Aspen and Quinton's story.

Loved this series

I loved this series Aspen after the horrifying events of book two is trying to recover and Quinton is out for revenge. Having to be apart for the greater good but they can’t stay away from each other. Quinton grew from book one to book three that is what I love most about series because he was horrible to Aspen in the beginning. Aspen grew as well she finally was able to come into her own and exact some revenge as well.

Wonderful conclusion

Let me start with there is one part of this story that I wanted Q to get hit by a train. Whew. Ok that felt good to get off my chest.

The conclusion of Aspen & Quintons trilogy didn’t disappoint. It was devastatingly, heartbreakingly, beautiful. It was full of twist and turns, secrets revealed, compassion and healing.

Taking Control

Wow. 😳🥺 There are horrors learned, vengeance taken, secrets revealed, lies covered, love renewed, friendships strengthened, and alliances made in this final chapter on Quinton Rossi and Aspen Mather's trilogy. (Yes, you must read them in order.)

The details of what happened to Aspen are gruesome and not for the faint of heart. Coming back from all of that loss and battering isn't easy, but I like how unexpected allies rally around her to help her move forward. I even like Quinton's unconventional gift. I also like how she owns up to her own transgression with her head held high.

Some of the secrets I anticipated, but some were shocking. By the end, I was happy that they found an HEA, but I also wanted to see more of that. After everything they went through, seeing more goodness would've been even better. 💙💖🌸

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Zara Eden and Connor Brown. Both were great, but as I got to this final book, I realized how much duet narration would've vastly improved it.

amazing!

Loved Aspen and Q's story. I'm happy to see the saga continue. This entire series has been absolutely amazing and tragic at the same time. These authors take readers on one heck of a rollercoaster ride. The narration was pretty good too. I received a free copy of the story and am voluntarily leaving a review

Corium University Series!

Broken Kingdom (Corium University, Book 3) is the best of the series. Dark and an explosive ending to this trilogy. Secrets revealed, so many twists in this entertaining listen.. Suspense dripping through the pages. The epilogue is the cherry on the top.

Zara Eden, Connor Brown dual narration was purely the icing on the cake. Zara and Connor brought the characters and their story to reality. Zara’s inflection is sweetly easy listening. Connor's deep tone is intoxicating to listen to.

Excellent narration and story.

Dark Enemies-To-Lovers Bully Romance

Broken Kingdom by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman is a dark enemies-to-lovers bully romance that I listened to audio narrated by Zara Eden and Connor Brown. This is the third book in the Corium University Series.

This is the first series of J.L. Beck and C. Hallman's that I have read, and it won't be my last. They did a great job wrapping up Quinton and Aspen's story. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brough the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Ruins of Temptation to be released on audio so I can get Lucas and Delilah's story.

Zara and Connor did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.
