Publisher's summary

The wildly popular YouTube personality and author of the New York Times best seller My Drunk Kitchen is back! This time she's stirring up memories and tales from her past.

By combing through the journals that Hannah has kept for much of her life, this collection of narrative essays delivers a fuller picture of her life, her experiences, and the things she's figured out about family, faith, love, sexuality, self-worth, friendship, and fame.

Revealing what makes Hannah tick, this sometimes cringeworthy, poignant collection of stories is sure to deliver plenty of Hannah's wit and wisdom - and hopefully encourage you to try your hand at her patented brand of reckless optimism.

Personal note:

Hello, my darlings! I am incredibly pleased to present Buffering: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded!

As a big fan of memoirs, I wanted to try my hand at writing about the events of my life that deserve a little more consideration than can be accomplished in 140 characters or a six-minute vlog. Now on the cusp of turning 30, I'm ready to expose some parts of my life that I haven't shared before. Before, it was all about privacy, process, and time. And now the time has come! I'm ready to put myself out there for you.

I'm a little nervous about all these vulnerable words going into the world, these tales about my love life, the wrestling I've done with faith, how I feel about sex and my family and myself. I've had a lot of trials, a lot of errors, but also a lot of passion. Here's the thing: I've always found comfort in the stories shared by others, so I hope my stories, now that I feel ready to tell them, will bring you some comfort, too.

And when you listen to this book, please remember: Buffering is just the time it takes to process.

Enjoy!

Love,
Hannah

Touching on many levels

Everything about this book was enjoyable: the honesty, humor, sincerity and content. I found myself near tears often and laughing out loud just as many times. Hannah Hart is an unexpected hero for me. I have watched her youtube videos and admired her positive outlook. However, after this book, knowing the circumstances she has overcome and the choices she has made to put it all in perspective is something I deeply admire. She has given me the gift of hope by providing beautiful insight that resulted from awful situations I can relate to. I've bordered on bitterness, but this book is just the light in the fog I needed to guide me on a more hopeful path. Thank you, Hannah.

AMAZING!

Loved this so much! I've been a fan of Hannah's for a good while so of course I expected to enjoy this. What I didn't expect was to listen to it all in more or less one go and connect with it on a deeply personal level. My respect and appreciation for Hannah has skyrocketed. This book is amazing I hardcore need a physical copy of it like immediately.

Also her narration brings a whole new dimension to the story that really makes it something magical.

Thank you, Hannah

This book is not a self help book, but it helped me. It helped me realize I may have ADHD, helped me realize I need to find a new therapist, helped me realize that I'm not a bad personal for calling CPS when a child needed saving from their parents. It made me laugh and cry and even my old mom, who cannot focus on anything, loved it. So thank you, Hannah!

Loved!

I vaguely knew who Hannah Hart was from her YouTube videos, which didn't really resonate with me, probably because I'm so much older than her... but she got my subscribe and occasional views anyway, because as an older dyke, I like to give support to the young queers who come behind me (just as my seniors supported me.)

This book showed me how much Hannah held back of herself from her channel - with good reason - and the fact she shared it here has converted me into a true fan.

Autobiographies can sometimes take the shine off someone I'm invested in, but with Hannah it's made me understand what's going on behind those videos.

Keep on creating, Hannah!

I cannot believe it...

A YouTuber actually got me to download this app! Hannah’s book lets you into Hannah’s true heart...where she’s been, how far she’s come and how incredible a person she truly is. She uplifts me on my darkest days and reminds me to keep believing in the power of human kindness. I know that sounds pretty sappy, but if you’re going to download any book, make sure it’s this one. It will take you through all the feels- laughing, crying, cringing, and finally, pride in Hannah- for everything she’s accomplished and how her smiles keep working to do more and more good in the world. And I’m only on chapter 13.

Thank you Hannah

This story was so well written and perfectly layer out. I want to thank Hannah for being so honest and sharing these things with us. I relate to her on many levels and this helped me in more ways than I expected. Her outlook on life is beautiful despite her past and I want to move forward in my life with the same positive outlook. A very good read (or listen). I will recommend this books always. Long time fan of Harto and an even bigger one now.
