Me encantó éste libro

Would you consider the audio edition of Cancion de Cuna de Auschwitz [Auschwitz Lullaby] to be better than the print version?

Me distraigo, aprendo y me cultivo.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cancion de Cuna de Auschwitz [Auschwitz Lullaby]?

If you could rename Cancion de Cuna de Auschwitz [Auschwitz Lullaby], what would you call it?

Auschwitz, sacó lo mejor de ella.

Triste historia

A gripping story, but painful too!

Would you listen to Cancion de Cuna de Auschwitz [Auschwitz Lullaby] again? Why?

I think Canción de Cuna de Auschwitz is an excellent book and well worth listening to, but I cannot claim to have enjoyed listening to it: the tale of a mother of five children who finds herself in midst of the horrors of a nazi concentration camp is shocking and sad to an extent that made it hard for me to continue up to the end. The author uses an often understated and matter-of-fact style to describe the daily reality of their existence, but that makes it all the more chillingly realistic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I will not give any information that spoils the suspense of the book, but hearing thatthe novel is actually based on true events and characters does nothing to reduce the story's emotional impact.

Any additional comments?

A great book to enter into the emotional abysses its topic provides, but not recommended as "light reading".

Courage and determination!

A crude story of a German mother who suffered the horror of Auschzwitz to follow and care her 5 children imprisoned for being born from a romani father.
He fought against the circumstances to give sense and meaning to a subhuman living conditions.
And finally accepted the death in a serene way singing a nest song.

Sad but beautiful book. Worth reading to get closer to one of the worst period of human history.
