Publisher's summary
For the first time - in one Audible-exclusive collection - it's 13 stories of Jane Yellowrock, the shape-shifting skinwalker and vampire hunter for hire whose business card reads, "Have Stakes - Will Travel". Jane carries inside her the soul of her Beast, the mountain lion's soul which merged with hers when she accidently performed black magic as a child. Now, she and her Beast stalk the dark streets of New Orleans, bringing rogue vampires true death.
In Cat o' Nine Tales, you'll discover how Jane turned into a big cat for the first time; how she and Molly became friends; how Rick LaFleur got his tattoos. You'll go along on some of Jane's early vamp hunts. You'll even hear two short tales through Bruiser's eyes.
Once you experience these stories set in the fantastic world of this New York Times best-selling series, you'll surely agree with Kim Harrison that Jane Yellowrock is "smart, sexy and ruthless".
The stories included in Cat o' Nine Tales are:
"WeSa and the Lumber King"
"The Early Years"
"Cat Tats"
"Kits"
"Haints"
"Signatures of the Dead"
"First Sight"
"Blood, Fangs and Going Furry"
"Dance Master"
"Cajun With Fangs"
"Golden Delicious"
"Beneath a Bloody Moon"
"Black Water"

Faith Hunter Does it AGAIN!
Sexy vampires, spirit creatures, werewolf's, witches and all the things that go growling and prowling though the night also walk among us during the day! Jane and Beast are better and bigger, they don't fight the body they share they work together! I only wish that she would have hooked up with her love! Great read/listen!

Complex and well developed story
Jane is a great combination of human and fantasy. What I appreciate most about these books is the depth of character development, the humor and the anguish, the tiny details and the threads left hanging for pick up later.

Excellent
I just love the "in between" stories of secondary characters that help flesh out the lives of the novel's main character in a multi book series.

What an amazing introduction.
Having never read any of Faith Hunter's works, I was at first skeptical and didn't think I would like the book. Once I started to listen it took me by surprise. After the first few stories, I was hooked. I feel I now know Jane Yellowrock without ever having read any of the series After this production, I am ready to plunge into the series to discover even more about Jane's world.

Wonderful Backstories / Short glimpses-great
I almost wish I'd been able to read these before starting the series..this Hunter/Hvam compilation of 9 short stories is filled with excellent glimpses into the pasts of Jane, Ricky-bo, Molly and Jane's growing friendship as well as being super stand alone stories.
I very much enjoyed learning how/why Rick got his tats-a scary story in in it's self. Jane's intro as beast to Angie-baby as well as 7 other stories.
If you've enjoyed the series but dislike short stories I encourage you to buy this. Hvam does her usual fantastic voice narration with sympathy and drama.
Enjoy! I sure did!

More of Everything Jane Yellowrock (and friends)!
Cat o' Nine Tales, is a delightful mix of previously published favorite short stories about Jane Yellowrock, many through the eyes of her friends and adversaries, and two new novellas wading into adventures connected with her weir-tainted love interest and his extended family.
For die-hard Jane Yellowrock readers who've read everything in print they could find, the new stories included in this collection will absolutely titillate, as they divulge more information about Rick LaFleur, and introduce a whole new group of characters to the Yellowrock saga with adventure to spare!
Faith Hunter continues to showcase her mastery of urban fantasy short story thrillers in this excellent collection, and I highly recommend the read.
