Publisher's summary

Professional football player Devon Harding found his soul mate at the age of 17. Trouble is he can't remember her last name. For the last 14 years, he's been waiting for the universe to send her back to him. When that day comes, he nearly falls all over himself to get to her. But he plays it cool and waits for her to come to him.

And she walks right past him.

Pediatric oncologist Laney Nixon has only been in love once - at the age of 16. For the last 14 years, she's looked for him, but not knowing his last name has made finding him impossible. But when she comes face to face with him, she doesn't recognize him.

Can Devon get her to remember the past so they can have a future?

Because all is fair in love and football...and the past is just the beginning.

Another great hit by Katie Graykowski!

This is my 3rd book by Katie Graykowski. I love her writing style. This book doesn't disappoint us either. I think this book is her best yet!

Long ago when Laney was a teen she went to camp and fell in love with a boy she met there, DJ. Laney never saw DJ again and she never forgot him. Now Laney is a Pediatric oncologist. Laney loves and cares for all the sick kids with cancer.

Devon is a pro football player. He fell in love once upon a time too. Devon has spent half of his life searching for EJ, the girl he fell in love with long ago. Read along as both Devon and Laney look for their soul mates. I would say more but it will spoil the story!

Laura is a sick little girl with Leukemia. Though Laura is only 6, she is more grown up than most adults are and she doesn't have any family. Laura has a way of making everyone fall in love with her, even a big team of football men!

This book is wonderful! I loved the characters of Laura and Sweet Louise too. The author, Katie Graykowski once again gives us a story we can't live without. Her plot is there & the story is fantastic with fun, romance, love and tears. Yes you will need tissues for this book. I love a story that makes me cry! The narrator, Pam Dougherty delivers us a flawless tale complete with accents and emotions. I have read other books with this narrator and she never lets me down!

Strong man with a huge heart!

As usual Katie Graykowski tells a story with humor and fun. But in Changing Lanes she takes it a bit further and tugs at your heartstrings. I couldn't put it down and I loved every minute, i'm sure you will too.

A Must Read!

Any additional comments?

This book is fantastic! This is book three in the Lone Stars Series, but can be read as a standalone, however, once you listen/read one book by Katie Graykowski you will want to listen/read all of her books. Devon is a professional football player and has been waiting on fate to bring his soul mate Laney, back into his life. He fell in love with his soul mate at summer camp when he was seventeen years old. He believes that one day they will meet again. So when she shows up to his practice with her team members he can’t believe it, but is then crushed when she doesn’t remember him. Laney has looked for her true love ever since she was in high school, she is now a Pediatric Oncologist.

The narrator Pam Dougherty, did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. Pam is one of my favorite narrators, every book that I have listened to by her I have enjoyed and this one was no different than the others. She did every characters voice different and was easy to tell which character was speaking.

I wish that I could have listened to this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. But I listened to it while working. This book had me laughing out loud and tearing up the next. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. I have all of Katie’s books and want more.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Token Tip To Football - More About Relationships

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I started this book after listening to a very, very good book - making it a challenge that the next book will match up. The book I just finished before starting Changing Lanes was a very deep, dramatic & very sexy.

I expected Changing Lanes to be similar to Jaci Burton Play By Play series. That series has its own sort of cadence and I was expecting this to be similar, as it is about a football player.

This book is not at all serious-but for a few moments. It is light and full of quirky moments. The plot: A couple of young teenagers fall in love at camp one summer-at the end of the two weeks they split and never have contact with one another again. However, they each hold out hope that they will find the other. All of their life choices are made upon this challenge-to find the other. Devon moves to Dallas for his career as a professional football player while the other moves to another big city in Texas to make her career in medicine. 14 years later their paths cross and he remembers her but she has no clue who he is.

What proceeds from there is a romance where he is trying to get her to remember him on her own. They both try to be the professionals they perceive the other expects. They're best moments are encompassed by a lot of quirky moments a few serious ones and some silliness.

This is part of the series, book number three in the Lone Star series. I was given a copy of the book in exchange for my thoughts and opinions in this review. This is a very unique style of writing. Most of this is based on the nerdy behavior of the main characters, which was fun for a while

The performance was very good. It kept me engaged and the array of characters was rather colorful, so I am sure it would be a challenge, but not for Pam.

Another awesome story by Katie Graykowski!

I've always loved her books. They have a sass and a spunkiness that make them a joy to read and are always full of wit, joy, and heartfelt happy tears. :-) can't wait for the next book to come out!
