Classic 50's paperbacks given a pulp twist...

If you could sum up Charles Boeckman Presents Johnny Nickle, Volume 1 in three words, what would they be?
Trouble finds me!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not so much on the "edge of my seat." The writers were trying to emulate the style of 1950's pulp paperback writers and with it crafted two stories where you knew where the story was heading about halfway through, but still I wanted to carry through to the end just because they were a lot of fun to hear.

What does Lance Roger Axt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
"The voice." Why isn't this guy narrating more?

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"I'm no detective, lady... I just play jazz."

Any additional comments?
For a quick listen, this hit the spot. Yeah, I liked it!
