With its brilliant and brutal portrayal of the Corleone family, The Godfather burned its way into our national consciousness. This unforgettable saga of crime and corruption, passion and loyalty continues to stand the test of time, as the definitive novel of the Mafia underworld. A #1 New York Times bestseller in 1969, Mario Puzo's epic was turned into the incomparable film of the same name, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It is the original classic that has been often imitated, but never matched.

love
As always I love the story, but I have to say that Ed Westwick has to be one of my favorite male narrators. He has such a beautiful voice and has the right kind of emotions, at the right times, with the right amount. Molly Quinn is quiet good as well.

horrible narrating
Having this book switch between 2 narrators was very difficult as they both did characters voices differently. Worst of all that Jace has a British accent in the books and this man made him sound like a Brooklyn thug. it changed everything for me. on top of both narrators mispronounced names. it was so hard to get through.

Great story, TERRIBLE narrators
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes, the story of this book was wonderful!
How could the performance have been better?
I hated the narrators. They were incredibly horrible especially compared with the previous books. The male voice with the British accent was very difficult to understand when the book first began. The female voice was a thousand times worse. She completely mispronounced all of the series specific words... I had to cringe every time I heard her voice. The switch between male & female voices were seemingly at random and did not make any sense in relation to the book. If the story hadn't been so good, I probably would have stopped listening, even though I had paid for the book. I just hope they have changed narrators for the next book because I can't stand any more of these 2.

I LOVE that they did the narration with a male and female! THAT was awesome! I've never heard that done before and it made the story that much better! I hope the last 2 are done the same.

Why did they switch narrators?
Would you consider the audio edition of City of Fallen Angels to be better than the print version?
NO!!!! I hate the narrators of this story. They can't pronounce word right and don't create character voices. It is hard to follow a conversation.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ed Westwick and Molly C. Quinn ?
No, I want Natalie Moore back. She was not the best but she is way better than these two!
Any additional comments?
The story is great, but the narrators are awful. I wanted to buy the book and read it instead of listening because I can't stand listening to these two ruin this book.
