severely disappointed

this is most definitely not a "all-in-one" none of the topics were expanded upon. this was not what I paid for.

Old and out of date

Be careful with the material studied for the CompTIA A+ exam. They change their tests every 3 to 3 1/2 years so also check that transition date as well.
I was hoping this book covered good information that was illustrated in a simple and understanding way. But instead they tell you simple, more common sense stuff and said in the most confusing way. Also out of date material IE; “floppy disks are now being replaced by CDs”… seriously. And what is given doesn’t really prepare you for the test IE; “the difference between TCP and UTP is that UDP is faster but only slightly” For those of you that don’t know the difference (nor will you from this book) there’s a lot more to it than that.
Lots of better choices out there with a lot more current information. Kinda disappointed with what was provided. It was nice learning about the floppy disk without having to actually go to the Smithsonian. Just not believing it will be on the Core 1 or 2 exam. Good luck! Don’t make the stupid mistake I did and CHECK THE DATE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED!

Outdated and Limited in Scope

I had a long drive and wanted to see if i could get some study time in, waste of time and money. It sounded like the material was 10 years old at least and all hardware focused which will only help on the first exam. Perhaps this could be a viable product if someone like Mike Meyers adapted their video series and had concise visuals needed per chapter in pdf to review when you have eyes available.

not enough

not enough material is here for the entirety of the a + exam. Mainly only covers the 1st part of the exam (901)

CAUTION: PRODUCT IS OUT-OF-DATE!

I bought this audiobook to help study for my A+ certification test, and failed to do due diligence. Turns out that it was published in 2016, which is makes it out-of-date by either one or two iterations of the test. Maybe there's some valuable information in there for some people, but I would not reccomend it as a resource for people taking the current version of CompTIA A+, which was released in Jan, 2019.

3 stars for the information contained within
3 stars for the blandest narration ever
