Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Picking up speed!

Not as slow and hard to follow as the previous couple books, a lot of what was built up over the past couple books have pay off in this one. I can see why most people see this as the end of the dreaded slog. The audio book is just as if not better than reading the books 5/5

Incredible narration

The artists who read these books do an incredible job of bringing a depth and dimension to Robert Jordan’s world. Having read the books, and now listening to them, the narration creates an expansion of the story and a furthering of the imagination. Thank you Kate Reading and Michael Kramer for honoring these books and bringing characters to life with your artistry!

The “original series” isn’t WoT

Amazing book series. Embarrassing tv series. I guess the producers, directors and writers felt they could improve upon Robert Jordan’s work by “awakening” the overall story and having group dances for magic. Shame. TVFailyoupiecesofcrap.

Love this series!

I love this series so much and am 95% pleased!!! The only annoyance is some of the voice actors change the names of characters or pronounce them extremely differently 🤣🤣. For example, in one chapter, the reader pronounced the name that has sounded like "Brigita" as "Birgita" and a horse is sometimes called "Stepper" and other times "Stayer". They're minute details, but it seems like the production needs some streamlining with character names.

Great Series, Slow Book

WoT is an amazing series, and its a testament to the series that even it's worst book is entertaining enough, thought that may be the talent of Kramer and Reading doing some of the extra legwork.

Still a must read…

I understand the complaints laid against this book and for the most part agree. Thankfully, I’ve only ever heard of this series long after it’s completion. It’s a bearable read, personally, since I don’t have to wait years for the next book. I still say Jordan taking 6 long chapters to use the bowl of the winds in a previous book is far more egregious pacing than CoT.

Worth the listen

Even though the story did not progress much in this book it was still enjoyable and worth listening to.
