An Ufthak Blackhawk Audiobook

Ufthak Blackhawk reckons he’s in for it. Da Meklord has summoned him, and the Gargantsmasha just knows his boss wants to kick his teef in and be done with it.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Ufthak Blackhawk faces the Drukhari in the teeming flesh pits of their dark city of Commorragh as he finds himself challenged to gladiatorial combat against the masters of pain.

THE STORY

Out of options, Ufthak leads his Waaagh! through the mysterious webway, to a place where kunnin’, sneakin’, and thinkin’ are the name of the game. A place with little truck for muscle and brawn – Commorragh, the Dark City.

Here, where kabals and haemonculus covens pump psychic viscera into the warp, Ufthak is thrown into gladiatorial combat and soon finds himself up against an archon who will stop at nothing to prove she deserves to rule the Dark City – even if it means bringing Commorragh down around her.

But the Drukhari are about to discover that while orks may be simple, very little about them is ever straightforward.

A ZOGGIN GOOD TIME

An absolutely phenomenal story. Ufthak is always a treat. Brooks knocked it out if the park with this one.

'Ere We Go, Lads! Showing dem Spikies a Gud Krumpin'!

An incredibly fun read that deals with an unexpected conflict from two sides you wouldn't expect to see matched up in 40k! You will learn a lot about Orks but also Drukhari most of all! The VA did a fantastic job capturing Ork silliness and Drukhari snobbishness. Although, I feel some emotions were harder to convey because it would've been too taxing on the voice. Still great!
Also, you get to find out what a Dark Eldar experiences when they feel love.

Ufthak is amazing as always, and the narrator nails the performance.

Love me some orky killyness.

Hopefully the narrator survived this performance.

Really great continuation of the story, love the differing enemy types, fun and fluid.

Another Well Told Story

I love how all of the Ork related books tell from multiple points of views.

As Big E himself said...

"Given the soul-crushing amount of arbitrary deaths, decent people die for no reason in this galaxy, it is surprisingly refreshing to see it happen to someone who absolutely deserves it."

So much fun!

"Is it blue and black or white and gold?" is now cannon. There is even a small "philosophical debate" on the purpose of fightin'. And, do I hear romance in the air?! Mike Brooks is wasted writing not Ork books. His complete understanding of the species is unmatched in the Black Library and I really hope they let him do more.

The narrator did such a great job for all the roles involved. His natural accent was a perfect match for the Orks. Definitely should use them more.
