When a woman returns home from a walk to find her mother has fallen prey to a dangerous predator, morality becomes a thing of the past as this new experience forces her out of her dreamy observance of the deterioration of her family and into a fierce calculation of in-the-now logic.
The first in a series of unforgettable short works, Daughter and the Snake looks at the nature of the human spirit to seek comfort-and where no comfort is possible, transformation. Nothing brings clarity with the swiftness of mortal danger. When nothing is certain, anything is possible.
The story of Daughter and the Snake is richly thematic, though its messages are subtle, allowing the listener the space to think and feel for themselves about the symbolism and themes woven throughout this short story.
