Nutritional deficiencies have increased in frequency worldwide. Even the most industrialized countries in the world are seeing more cases of deficiency in vitamins, minerals, proteins, electrolytes, and other essential elements in their populations. Some of these have reached near-epidemic proportions, even in the USA (i.e. Vitamin D Deficiency).
