Rebecca Gablé, Jahrgang 1964, in einer Kleinstadt am Niederrhein geboren, studierte nach mehrjähriger Berufstätigkeit Anglistik und Germanistik mit Schwerpunkt Mediävistik in Düsseldorf. Sie wirkte an einem Projekt zur Erforschung anglonormannischer Manuskripte mit. Diese Forschungsergebnisse flossen in ihre weitere literarische Arbeit mit ein. Heute arbeitet sie als freie Autorin und Literaturübersetzerin. Ihr erster Roman Jagdfieber wurde 1996 für den Glauser-Krimipreis nominiert. Außerdem gehört sie dem Autorenkreis historischer Romane "Quo Vadis" an. Neben der Literatur gilt ihr Interesse der (mittelalterlichen) Geschichte, dem Theater und vor allem der Musik, in fast jeder Erscheinungsform.
