Publisher's summary

On a dark, frozen planet where no planet should be, in a doomed city with a sky of stone, the last denizens of Earth's long-lost twin will pay any price to survive, even if the laser scalpels cost them their love and hate and humanity.

And in the mat-infested streets, around teatime, the Doctor and Nyssa unearth a black market in secondhand body parts and run the gauntlet of augmented police and their augmented horses. And just between the tramstop and the picturehouse, their worst suspicions are confirmed: the Cybermen have only just begun, and the Doctor will be, just as he always has been, their saviour....

Written by Marc Platt and directed by Gary Russell.

Great Story

Would you listen to Doctor Who - Spare Parts again? Why?

YES. this is one frightening story and gives great background to the cybermen and their development. The older cyberman have always been a bit more frightening and this story shows just why.

Truly Classic Dr. Who!

Felt like I could really travel in time, for it was the early 1980's and Peter was my doctor again. Such a joy, I highly recommend.

This is the cyberManDoctor Who stuff which I need shoved into my brain. Every moment the prom is weak plot, and that’s about it but the week plot is fair. Oh, and also bad writing not bad writing actually more like bad acting WellMed acting. Cyberman, are the best in Doctor Who ever but I don’t think Arthur will put it. Simply I think they’re kind of shoved in there as a setting and not as a blog because the plot is the dead is that the planet is Bowie but I think of them Cyberman are the best inside doctors and that’s why I think
