What a great book with so many insights

First of all I’ll say that what drew me to this book was the title. ( I hv the habit of texting MY EX HAPPY BDAY)
I’m not a big fan of the bachelor so I immediately thought what advice can some guy who was on that show possibly have to give! But I liked it bcuz of the candid opinions and solid advice from sm1 who has had a rich dating experience. It’s definitely helpful most times to hear it from a guys perspective n it’s relieving to know that sometimes you’re not overthinking or being to picky. Your thoughts, your instincts about situations and people r valid n u should listen to them. Thank you Nick for sharing your experiences with us no matter how they could’ve have been perceived. I hope you continue to have a healthy and happy relationship!
Wish me luck w this love thx :)

Good book and it’s rare I listen to something a 2nd time right away.
Definitely a good read for anyone who’s dated and broken up

Insightful

Overall a good read, really opens your way of thinking on relationships and the unhealthy habits a person tend to create and justify to hang on that ex. If you truly are trying to work on yourself this books is worth the read.

Worth a Listen (or Two)

My sister recommended this book to me and I’m glad I listened. You’ll surely come across some situations in this that you’ve been in before and it’s oddly comforting to know that so many other people have been there. The advice isn’t groundbreaking, but helpful reminders that many of us probably need to hear again and again. A book to come back to for another listen if you’re going through a tough time or breakup. Or if you need a reality check/self-esteem boost. My big takeaway from listening to this book is that things are usually what they seem in relationships. If you can look at a situation objectively and leave your emotions and ego out, things are pretty clear. We often overcomplicate relationships. Stay true to your standards and non-negotiables.

Worth the buy!

I’m a huge fan of his podcast and this book does not fail. Gave me the courage to finally end things as I knew I deserved better and truly wished I had this book years ago!

Trust me when I say if you’re in doubt about getting this book, don’t doubt yourself and do yourself a favor and just buy it and thank Nick later 🤍

Highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed listening to this book. I loved a man very much, but he didn't love me. Every few weeks finding his way back to my DM or SMS box. Conversations were trying to understand one another, all the crazy-making. Telling me that if he were only masculine and worthy enough, he would choose me.

He texted me on Thanksgiving night. I read this book a few days later and realized I was part of the problem. My ego wanted to know if he still thought about me. The flat truth was painful. I took the advice and blocked him liberally from Gmail, all social media, and my phone. I've never felt freer.

Learning to date is challenging. I appreciate the common sense and straight talk, and tips in this book. I highly recommend this read/listen.

Needed to Hear Nick’s Wise Words

I’m almost 2 hours into listening to this helpful book. It is tough to confront my dating life through Nick’s advice but I believe it will make me stronger and happier over all. He comes off as a true friend and mentor throughout.

Hallelujah

First off I love the fact that the author did the narrating. I listen to a ton of books on audible and I’m always disappointed when I don’t hear the author, read their own work. This is such a simple clear and profound book of instructions basically on how to be the best version of yourself and live your best life by creating boundaries and teaching you what that means to make the sacrifices to stick to them. Nick takes a big ball of tangled up chaos and breaks it down succinctly for the rest of us.
