HOTT (Yes, with two T's)

Easy is one HOTT read. Nothing super spectacular and I honestly didn't buy the "conflict" of the two main characters having a relationship. I 100% saw every "surprise" coming but you know what I did not care.

This book was enjoyable, sexy, and down right entertaining.

"Don't judge a book by its cover"

Where does Easy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not reading a YA novel before, I would rate it about an 8 on my scale. Very good book.

What other book might you compare Easy to and why?

I really don't have another book to compare this to. This is my first YA novel. This was easy listening and good storyline.

Have you listened to any of Tara Sands’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I usually try to reserve my books for walking or traveling. At onset, this was a tad slow and I thought here goes your typical adolescent whining dramas but was greatly impressed with the development. I saw some of the highlights coming, but it was still good to hear them. I liked the narration of the teen’s voice and the separation of the gender voices. I also liked that it dealt with relevant topics such as rape, bonding, trust, death, anger, etc. Great book and I look forward to future works such as this from the author. My favorite characters were Jacqueline (JW), Erin, Lucas(LM), Benji and Professor Heller.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LIKE THAT IT ACTUALLY HAS A PLOT!!! AND A GOOD ONE AT THAT...I THOUGHT LUCAS WAS A VERY INTRUIGING CHARACTER. I WAS DONE WITH IT IN 2 DAYS.

Recommend

This was my first time listening to an audiobook! I found it very enjoyable. The narrator, Tara Sands, did a fantastic job and the story was really good too. This story is filled with emotion, real-life issues, coming-of-age-ness, and romance. It starts off really intense, with the main character struggling to fight off a guy who is trying to rape her. Throughout the story, Jacqueline has to live with the consequences of not telling anyone what happened to her that night.

The characters were good. Jacqueline, the main character and narrator, has many issues to deal with early on in the story. She grows a lot throughout the novel and becomes a stronger woman. Lucas, the love interest, is awesome, like many leading men are. He is caring, strong, and Jacqueline's personal hero.

The writing was good. It's a bit hard for me to critique the writing, due to the fact that I was listening to the book and not reading it. But, from what I could tell from listening, the writing was well-done. The audio narration was very good. I was able to get into the story every time I turned it on and it was almost like I was reading it myself at times. The voice definitely doesn't take away from the story whatsoever.

I'm happy to say that my first audiobook experience was enjoyable! Listening to a book when you normally can't read, like when driving to work and getting ready in the morning, is totally awesome! Though I do feel that some of the storyline was predictable and not overly unique, it didn't really matter. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone unsure of which one to try first (like I was). The novel I would recommend to all you New Adult Contemporary Romance lovers out there -- this one is worth it.

Excellent for a female college student

What did you like best about Easy? What did you like least?

The characters were interesting. It was predictable throughout.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have made it a little less obvious, but the plot moved along smoothly.

Have you listened to any of Tara Sands’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Do you think Easy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, not really

Any additional comments?

My 21 year old daughter could not get enough of this book. The college campus setting and young love and misunderstandings are themes that this age particularly enjoy. As for more mature readers, I would not strongly advise this selection, although it was entertaining.

a believable character for once

Would you listen to Easy again? Why?

yes

What did you like best about this story?

Jacqueline was believable as a real character. I have know girls like her. She wasn't too one dimensional.

What about Tara Sands’s performance did you like?

Very good

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When she realizes who the tutor is. I think she was a little slow to do so and in real life I don't think it would have been a unknown for long. She would have found out.

Good story, some parts were hard to hear

Where does Easy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very enjoyable. There were some disturbing scenes of sexual violence, but overall it was a good story and I am glad I listened.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Surprisingly yes. I found myself listening for a lot longer stretches than I thought I would.

Loved how real this one felt

I really enjoyed how real the story was to this period in a young woman’s life. Topics in this book happen to young women all the time, and I really loved the way that the main character did what she could to stand up for herself and take action, even if it was terrifying.... Lucas just happened to be a good addition to an already strong story. Instead of coming in and having to be Jaquelines knight in shining armor, Lucas was someone that set aside the victim blaming and empowered her to learn how to stand up and defend herself. If that isn’t romantic, I don’t know what is.

I hope to listen to more stories as real as this one. Showing supportive partners and strong leads is truly beautiful.

My Thoughts on Easy

A beautiful, well written story that hit such a strong and emotional chord with me. This is a story that will stick with me for a while.

Lucas was amazing and Jacqueline was wonderful and together they made this story spectacular.

The narrator did a great job. I hope to listen to more from her in future.
