Monsters. Mayhem. Toaster waffles?

Devon Walker has had it rough lately. She kinda saved the game world - or, at least, earned the citizens of Aventalia a small respite from the demon attacks - but the wild magic she used had some devastating consequences, starting with a shattered landscape and the apparent vanishing of her settlement.

Now, it's up to her to fix the problems, save her NPC friends, and lay plans to take the attack to the demon forces.

The challenges are too big to face alone, and Devon will need the help of her guildmates and friends. Can she level up her social skills in time? Will she ever get her apartment in shape for houseguests? Does growing up mean the end of soggy microwave burritos and the appearance of crunch toaster waffles?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Fantastic as always :) And cute romance

As always, a fantastic book from Carrie Summers and an amazing performance by both the voice actors. I feel a bit spoiled honestly, to have BOTH of these amazing people working on this project so that I get to listen to them.

The big highlight from this book, besides all the plot progression which was fantastic :) was the dorky romance. I don't normally GO for romance stuff, but this was sweet and simple and touching. Yay for nerd love !

Good but short

A good continuation of the story, and very well done… but it felt too short. There were too many story arcs being told at the same time, and I felt like there could have been more development between many of the character relationships. Hoping to see more in the future.

I would totally play this game

Of the lit rpg books I’ve listened too this world has been the best so far! I love the game world she’s built, the believable characters and the style she’s given the game. I enjoy sound booth theatre books a lot too. I hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next book!

Lost

I wish I could blame it on the software because as I listened to the book and it transitioned to a new chapter I was left thinking what just happened and where am I in the book. So many times it would stop in the middle of a scene and jump to a real world portion of the store to then jump back to a scene of another main character. It happened so frequently I was left wondering the entire book.

Please clean up the transitions between chapters and the character story line or do a splinter book just focusing on that MC. Your fans would really appreciate it.
