Publisher's summary

Is John Yates a wise man, mad man, or both? This is the question Type A attorney John Yates faces after a journey he never expected and a trial he never signed on for. Chosen by an elite Tribunal to appear before them in order to argue in defense of one of the highest atrocities of mankind–the act of war–Yates finds himself having to dig deeper into his own beliefs that ever before. The challenge posed by the Tribunal forces Yates to examine relationships, personal beliefs and self-perception, the nature and meaning of cosmology, and the limitations of man. Join John Yates on a journey into the unknown as he unravels his own existence in order to evolve beyond accepted socially conclusions and cliches into the realization that with each level of success, a truly well-lived life moves in cycles of higher understanding and enlarging benevolence for the greater good.

What if Jesus were a bro?

This is a really fun character development and exploration of moral concepts and personal goals and priorities. I enjoyed the vivid imagery of this story the most. The author is descriptive of characters, environment and events in a way which made for an immersive and visual listening experience. It is also entertaining to have the metaphysical in this story made so literally physical. There is a subplot related to sexuality and romance that I haven’t made sense of, but I’m still thinking it through. Any novel that doesn’t immediately disappear into the rear view after I’m finished with it is special in its own way.
