Resumen del Editor

A dangerous new world. A mysterious Guide. To survive, he must grow stronger, learn magic, and fast.

Mat thought he hit the jackpot when he got reincarnated on a tropical island. Where his dreams of exploring mysterious lands and learning magic are a concrete possibility.

But world of Elydes is as wild and savage as it is beautiful and magical.

Though the mysterious Guide is impartial to all, Mat has the lowest starting point possible. Those like him rarely go far.

To not let his humble rebirth define his life, he'll need to find the determination to progress in power so that he may unlock the mysteries of Elydes. Only then, can he rise.

Don't miss the start of this Isekai LitRPG adventure about a young man with a second chance to find his true potential. Filled with plenty of progression, a detailed System, constant growth, slice-of-life elements, xianxia elements, and so much more!

I love ❤ Kai's story! Get the book because I sure you will too...

I didn't know anything about the book other than the fact that I liked the cover and that Aethon published the book. Aethon has found and published a plethora of indie authors resulting in a lot of dynamite books to read. In other words I trust 'em! And Ohhhh boy, oh howdy Elydes a New Dawn was grrreat! It wasn't long after I started reading that I realized that I was totally captivated by the storyline! The book's reminiscent of a slice-of-life adventure only more so. As we follow Matt who's Isekaied and transformed into Kai with his birth in the world, where his life starts all over again... With a system that has magic and monsters and power-ups leading to a fast-paced story and Kai finds himself mentality excelling in Elydes! Especially when he's finally apprenticed with a mage, an apothecary, and their what? Butler/Enforcer? no that's not quite right either...
So yeah you should definitely grab the book, better yet get the audio. Because even though I had never heard Ryan H Reid before, I discovered that he gives the book he's reading while adding a pinch of flavor to his wonderfully nuanced performance.

I was skeptical

This is Isekai done right.

There’s very little brought from earth or pop references. We delve into a new world with a mc that is believable.

It’s a slow progression but it’s never boring and all the characters feel distinct and well written.

There’s some dark moments that make the pleasant island vibe seem more realistic.

An amazing book.

Only critique I have, is that the mc, tends to stew in his dilemmas a bit too long, for a 17 year old reincarnated.

Impulsive MC in a dangerous world

So I'm somewhat of two minds on this story. On the one hand the narration and story quality are great and there aren't any glaring plot holes that make you rage. On the other hand the main character isn't super likable so it's somewhat hard to be invested in him, There's minute character growth so I'm confident he'll improve when he's not literally a child (the book ends a little after his seventh birthday), but reading through that growth is hard. The main issues for me is that the kid has an ego the size of a small mountain and it's hard to listen to him get indignant on how people treat him like a kid (which he is) over and over. In addition to the ego problem, he also starts lying more and more. He eventually gets to a point where the only person he's ever told the truth to is his mom, but then he starts lying to her again almost immediately after because it's easier than dealing with his mom worrying about him, or stopping him from doing what he wants to do, or even just telling her what he did that day if he thinks she might be a little upset. Later in the story he tries to share his status with his sister and it's supposed to be this scary moment since she might get jealous and he almost has a panic attack just trying to tell her the truth. It's meant to be this moment of trust but it almost reads like the kid is having a full blown panic attack from even trying to tell the truth after hiding things for so long. It's a well written story and an enjoyable listen, but if you match the main character's flaws a little too closely it's hard to listen to.

Great introduction to LitRPG

This is my first LitRPG book and I loved the idea. The main character has to make choices regarding combining skills and leaving some behind to learn new ones. The world building was good and the narration suited the story well. I will recommend this to people looking to try out the genre.

Really good

This was not what I expected but it was interesting and I loved it. The story was captivating and there were lots to keep me engaged. There are some things that were triggering for me personally but I digress., I think that the protagonist struggle with himself, his beliefs and moral dilemmas was inspiring given his age and circumstances. I felt the story and the emotions of the characters. It was well thought out and graciously executed.

Slow slice of life training

While the world and potential of this series is great and this first book was entertaining it doesnt DO much.

The first 6 hours are all backstory and growth. The MC being lazy and kinda throwing away his edge as a reincarnater with a adult mind in a child body. This though is needed to show how he grows mentally and by experiences.

That's the slice of life past from the 10 hour mark on is more the training arc. Which while entertaining doesnt do much but train skills. In most books with that they have some mini conflict or event to make the plot around. Not this book this is more a kid growing and finding his path story. For some it might be boring as there is no big struggle or conflict beyond the MC own doubts and will to strive for more.

Still this all seems like s slow set up to an epic series. For those who dont like no conflict perhaps wait until 2 or 3 books are out. For those who do, get it right away.

This book feel more like the first arc of most books. before all the action starts. So more the slow in depth approach. I'll give the next books a read as I liked it. Now If by boom 3 there is no conflict action or exploration of new lands. Then I might drop it if it's too slow or all training and learning without doing.

dislike this type of writing

Tired of the clueless MC trope and no making the MC self aware of their stupidity and whine nature doesn't make it better. Just stop it
