Publisher's summary

Cherise wanted a quiet, normal life...something she had never had. After a traumatic loss, she decided she needed serenity, so she moved halfway across the world to the American states, to a beautiful, quaint village in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. And there, with fresh air, tall trees, and lovely neighbors, she opened a little patisserie, and settled into a wonderful, normal life. Her family had already told her she couldn't run from her destiny.

Turns out, they were right. The last thing she ever wanted was to see a vampire again. But suddenly, a very damaged one shows up, stripped of his memory, unable to keep human blood down, and in need of help that only someone with her skills could provide. Damn't! She should have known that something would ruin her perfect quiet life of solitude, gardening, and baking her incredible French pastries. No matter how desperately she wanted to send him away, he needed her. The family legacy couldn't be denied... she was born to use her empathic skills to help supernaturals bridge the two worlds. Okay, she would help him and send him on his way quickly so that she could get back to her gentle life. Of course, it figured that this vampire was more than an average vampire...he was one of the first bloods, ancient vampires...powerful, rare, arrogant. Cherise had never been attracted to the large, oversexed vampires. So why did her heart race and breath quicken when he came to her for help? Stick with the plan, she told herself, get him well and out of the village. Only it wasn't going to be that simple when she discovers he's been the target of horrible torture and abuse. It will take all of her skills to help this man become whole and well again. And maybe more of her than she's ever had to give before. Maybe she would discover that even an empath doesn't know what's in her own heart.

Dragging..?

Book 1's story line intrigued me, while at times I the lead character was annoying.... on top and of the narrator didn't make it easy to listen to. So I went ahead and got the second one... and I can't tell you it was not worth the credit.. unfortunately I'm the type that once I start a series I have to finish it. I will try book 3 but it may be the last one .. disappointed because I really thought it was a story line.

Empath!

Endless Days is the second story in The Firsts series by author C.L. Quinn and it's a story you don't want to miss. The first story I learned about Bas and Park and it rocked. This story is about Cherishe, an empath and Kav, the vampire but not just a vampire he's a First. This story is intense, Kav has lost memories and Cherishe is the one that helps him to heal but in a way, throughout the story they kind of help each other. We learn about all the different powers that vampires and empaths have and it kept me engrossed throughout the story. I enjoyed the bonding that Quinn adds to the story along with all the emotional connections. This story has it all, excitement, adventure, and the sex scenes are hot. It's a great story and I highly recommend you give this series a listen.

Pyper Down is absolutely a great narrator. This was when she first started this series and since she's been doing this series she has become the characters, she's gotten that good. She does a perfect job with the accents and the pronunciations that each character needs to have. She makes this story hers in her own little way. She does an outstanding job with this story and especially all the French she has to use.

Not a fan

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I have read the first two books in this series. I am not a huge fan of this genre, but nothing about the characters or the main characters trying to get a HEA works for me.

If you’ve listened to books by C. L. Quinn before, how does this one compare?

This is my second book, and while I believe Quinn to be a talented writer ... the story line might be a better read if you omit the vampires.

Have you listened to any of Pyper Down’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narration is very good :)

Was Endless Days worth the listening time?

In my opinion it was ok ...I will not be returning.

Really enjoyed these stories

At first, I was annoyed with the heroine's attitude even though I knew from reading the first book, where she was coming from. However, I got over it as I listened. Loved David, and truly felt for him. I stayed up listening till the early morning hours and hated having to stop in order to get some sleep. Looking forward to the next. Pyper Down does a good job changing from character to character with varying accents.

Exciting Series

Wow! I’ve just finished the second book and can’t wait to get to the next. The characters are great and I get involved in their story. I’m sad about 1 first and wonder why the vampire is broken. I hope I continue to get more on the earlier characters as I love them. Getting the next one right now.

Narrator

For some reason I kind of like this narrator the way she changes her voice is I mean they’re not perfect but she hold your attention for the story
This one focuses on one couple instead of A few different people like in with the first one did it was still a good story if you like the single focus on just one couple
It did have a good story line though

YES YES AND MORE YES!!!!!!

If you could sum up Endless Days in three words, what would they be?

This was great!

What other book might you compare Endless Days to and why?

This is total PNR and unique...I loved it...I wasn't sure after book one...but was intrigued...and I am glad I went on to book 2....dragged me right in!

What does Pyper Down bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Pyper is a great narrator, her accents are so good...I am quite impressed!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This would be a good movie!!!

Any additional comments?

The author gave me the first book in this series, after I enjoyed her Charlie Quinn story..Last Best Hope...and now I am moving on to book3...this is a creative world, and the vampires are nothing like you will ever come across...they are very unique...This is Cherise's story after the big fight in book 1 and Cherise is a very interesting lady...I found it quite enjoyable and I highly recommend!

Another exciting chapter in the FIRSTS sereis!

Would you consider the audio edition of Endless Days to be better than the print version?

OMG yes! Print can't even compare to audio. It's like apples to oranges. Print being the apples and audio being the oranges, oh so juicy & succulent! No comparison! The accents were fantastic. I could never have pronounced all those names or done the accents myself. The narrator did a wonderful job!

What other book might you compare Endless Days to and why?

I don't like to compare books as if someone didn't like the book I compared it too, then they instantly wouldn't like this & that isn't fair. Each book should be judged on it's own.

What about Pyper Down’s performance did you like?

I loved all the accents. The French accents, the Irish accents. Piper did a real bang up job! (Excellent job).

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me smile & blush a lot. Hearing how badly David had been tortured over 30 years time made me want to cry for him! I was thrilled to see this book take off with Cherise! Seeing Park, Bas & Cohen again was nice too. I love to see characters carried over into other books. it's like seeing old friends.

Any additional comments?

What a great story. Exciting to say the least. Wonderful plot. I look forward to the next book in this series! What a wonderful imagination this author has!!!
