About this listen

Orpheus - to most he's an enigma, a devil-may-care rogue who does whatever he pleases whenever he wants. Now this loose cannon is part of the Eternal Guardians - elite warriors assigned to protect the human realm - whether he likes it or not.

Orpheus has just one goal: To rescue his brother from the underworld. He's not expecting a woman to get in the way. Especially not a Siren as gorgeous as Skyla. He has no idea she's an assassin sent by Zeus to seduce, entrap, and ultimately destroy him.

Yet Skyla herself might have the most to lose. There's a reason Orpheus feels so familiar to her, a reason her body seems to crave him. Perhaps he's not the man everyone thinks...The truth could reveal a deadly secret as old as the Eternal Guardians themselves.

Orpheus & Skylar entertain but Series still lacks

Seriously, this series is so full of holes it could be swiss cheese...but something keeps me going on. I don't understand but I am being entertained or I wouldn't be thinking so hard about stuff. The narrator is basically the same so if you have liked her so far, you still will enjoy her. I don't like her breathy sex scenes, otherwise, she is fine.

Orpheus has been the unknown since book 1 and I just had to find out his story. In the last book, we saw him use the orb to save his little brother Gryphon, but that wizard stole Gryphon's body, trapping Gryphon's soul in the underworld.

Orpheus is so wrecked with guilt that he decides he will go there and rescue his brother. Of course the gods (Zeus, Hera, Hades, even Atlanta) have their own plans for the brothers. Zeus sends on of Hera's sirens, Skylar, to seduce, kill and get the orb from Orpheus. And what seemed like a game of seduction, turned into something more. In addition, Orpheus and Skylar experience deja vu, like they have danced to this tune before, but surely they couldn't have. Either way, they are inexplicably drawn to each other, but Skylar is sent to be an assassin. Can she really go through with her mission?

I like this series but these eternal guardians are no different from humans. They seem weak to me. They are unobservant, lacking in the basic preparation by finding out about their enemies and they are verbally caustic to their fated females.

Issues: Aren't the Argonaunts are brotherhood? Why don't they know anything about each other? they don't know where folks live? they don't know people's parents only what line from the Greek Hero that fighter came from? Why are they so quick to want to discard someone? I don't understand why the king is considered a great king? he seems so selfish, self-centered and lacking in love for his offspring. Certainly no love for his wife.
Orpheus is a demon/witch hybrid, how come no one knows that? Why didn't Demetrius' demon sense Orpheus? Why didn't Nick see the hybrid?

With all that said, I will be starting audiobook 5 in a few minutes because I have to make sure Gryphon is alright. After all, being trapped and tortured by Hades every day for 3 months has to be terrible on his psyche. I want to see who saves him, though I suspect she has been on the run with Orpheus and Skylar this whole time (*Cough Maela).

laundry cycle

the series has fallen into a laundry cycle of wash, rinse, repeat in terms of storyline. And disappointed the narrator dropped Theron's accent.

Delicious Hero Orpheus & Soul Mate Skyla

Any additional comments?

This book is about Orpheus and his goal is to get his brother back from the horrific Hell like underworld. Orpheus is a dark Gorgeous misunderstood Eternal Guardian Hero. He falls hard for Skyla, she is a sexy goddess Siren that would bring any man to his knees - but Orpheus is the only one she can every truly want. Actually, she is supposed to kill him but as is the way in such captivating stories they have an undeniable attraction for each other. Elisabeth Naughton writes body trembling Sex scenes, this book is loaded down with Orpheus/ Skyla's passion for each other and lot's of very Yummy Sex.... I Must mention that Elizabeth Wiley's narration is brilliant as always and extremely talented with her many different voices.

There's more to this argonaut than meets the eye

Orpheus and Skyla were meant to be together but those pesky gods have to manipulate circumstances again. The action and adventure continues as this couple dares Hades himself to rescue Orpheus' brother. His snarky comments make for laugh out loud moments while the soul he says he doesn't have shines through.

From Zero to Hero in no time flat.

Good, but so far this one is my least favorite. Full of adventure and romance I'm glad I found this series. But admittedly this series is peculiar in the way that while it is not my favorite book or even series there is something about it that keeps bringing me back for more. Orpheus turns out to be a true hero and saves his brother which I loved. In the meantime he finds love and forgiveness along the way. I am anticipating Griffins book and can't wait to find out what happens to him. This is the same narrator as the rest of the series and normally I like her, but I didn't like the voice she gave for Orpheus it was too smarmy for my taste. I used the whispersync program to get this less than a credit and it was well worth it.

Eternal Guardians=Hot Sexy and ohhh so steamy..

What a series this has been to read/listen to so far! Its exciting, entertaining and so much fun. I love the world the author has created and all the character are all so interesting, not to mention hot and sexy. Orpheus and Skayla's story brought more into the mix with the underworld and gives you more understanding of the world all the guardians live in. I am already listening/reading the 5th book in this series.

The narrator has done an excellent job. This is totally credit worthy.

book series

I love books that are in a series but have an plot / character soft stop. they are not only a main character but you get to always get a glimpse of their lives through out the whole series.
