Publisher's summary

A socially anxious college student discovers she has superpowers—and they need babysitting—in the first book of an original superhero series.

Power Day occurs every year on September 15th. Across the world, formerly regular people awaken with superhuman abilities—and labels to go with them. They become the next generation of Heroes...and Villains.

September 15th is also Emily Wright’s first day on campus. While everyone else is out celebrating the start of their college career, Emily’s hiding in her dorm room. She wonders if it’s possible to earn a degree while completely avoiding eye contact with anyone.

All she wants is to learn a little and maybe get over her anxiety. Instead, she’s granted a superpower and categorized as villainous. So, Emily panics—and inadvertently conjures up a pint-size supervillain sidekick.

Emily has no intention of doing anything—evil or otherwise—with her powers. And if she has to babysit an increasing number of “little sisters” in order to stay under the radar, so be it.

But can Emily gain control of her life, or will she drown in a sea of supervillainy and cuddles?

Pretty nice listen

I was a little off put by the stammering main character but it was nice to see her grow out of it by the end. At some points the Cuteness was a little too much and felt like the author was trying a bit too hard to make everything they do be described cutely. I guess it may have been just a bit too sweet for me. Overall it was enjoyable and worth the money.

I like the whole hero/villain premise. I will pick up the sequel.

Yay RavensDagger!

I am not a fan of litRPG. I am not a fan of "wholesome" stories. But I have become a big fan of RavensDagger. She has great ideas and funny, interesting characters. I have decided to read every book she releases!

Cute. Very cute.

The cutest book I’ve read this year. Nothing much happens, but it’s still fun while it does

awesome superhero/villain plot and narration

pros:
This was a great book relating to a new hero type of universe.
it's entertaining enough to do a full read-through without getting bored and the story has some decent progression.
The narration is awesome.

cons: the continued use of alt-analogs for real world things gets annoying like "I jumped on my pc and ogled the thing" but it's needed for copyright reasons in some places or something I guess so its all right.

Enjoyable!

First, Emma Galvan really adds something hint to this story. I first heard her in a Scott Sigler novel, and hearing her voice in this book really centered my listening ear. Ravesdagger does an awesome job of capturing the thoughts in a non- neurotypical head. The story is a charming, modern coming of “college-age” superhero hero book. Really outside the litRPG box tale. Yes, you will like it. It is humorous from many different angles.

I would recommend this book

I highly enjoyed this book it mixed Slice of Life elements with a superhero story while also being a fascinating read some people might take issue with the mention of communism in multiple parts however this is mostly played off as a joke and the few times it's not it has some interesting arguments if you have a credit to spare and want to have a fun time give this book a shot you might just like it
