Liked but a little slow at first and has BDSM!

I really liked it for the most part but beware it is several chapters in before the H and h even meet so the first several chapters were a little slow for me - just Ford running all around town oddly which was boring to me. Therefore, for me, it didn't draw me in right away. And I will say I am not at all interested in BDSM and this has it. I hated the whole "pets" thing - and no we are not talking about four legged pets. That part was very degrading to women in general. With all that, I am surprised I gave the story four stars but it is because I liked the book after the H and h met - up until then, not so much. I downgraded it to four for the first part of the book. I considered giving it three just due to the BDSM and the pets thing but the rest kind of made up some for that.

The performance was fine so no problem there.

I just LOVE IT! Troy Duran was a fabulous choice from JA Huss . He has the ability to make me feel every single emotion as if I'm the one living the story.

Slack/Taut is a spin-off story from J.A. Huss' series about Rook & Ronin. Ford Aston is on the road, and he is trying to leave Rook far behind and find some peace away front he woman he loves but can't have. Along the way, he finds new meaning in his life.

This in-depth look at an already loved character, Ford Aston, is a fun and fast-paced read. J.A. Huss has a knack for creating credible, imperfect, neurotic characters that you can't help but love.

I didn't think it possible, but I loved the audiobook more than the hardcopy! The narrator did a fantastic job. The intimate scenes were more intense and the emotional scenes actually made me teary-eyed.

Wow!

I like to hear long books to keep me entertained at work. I picked this book in a hurry and boy I was surprised. I really Loved the book and the narrator.

great book

I liked this book. it was just addictive enough to captivate my thoughts. It was not to dark and did not contain to much drama. The description used d urring the more sexual parts was perfect, revealing enough but not over the top.

Generally I like more dark and suspenseful books by this author. This book was not like that. I miss that sort of reading material. but if you are not into the kind of darkness and suspence like in "One, Two, Three, then this is the perfect book for you.

My only complaint is : What happened to Sasha. That tidbit of info leaves me wondering.

My Absolute Favorite!!

I love a majority of Julie's stories. But I have to say this is my all time favorite. Even though I knew a bit of the background story going on (because I accidentally began reading them out of order) the storyline still threw me through a window, spun me in circles and stomped on my heart!!! I was giggling and swooning and then balling my eyes out. At one point I was worried my family would want to ask me about my mood swings.

Has anyone had to be evaluated due to reading one of Julie's books? If they have, I will guaran-damn-tee that it will be due to this one specifically.

Thank you Julie! I'm going to keep going as I'm officially addicted.

F*** Ford!

If you liked Rook and Ronin you’re going to love Ford’s story. It’s crazy how much can happen in a few days and how it will completely change a person. But Ford will always be Ford and you have to love him for it.

This book brought Ford into the light. It really helped me understand him and what an amazing addition to the Rook and Ronin series!!!

12 hour and 35 mins of Troy Duran, yes please. I loved listening to him read this book. It was so good. Even though I had not listened to the preceding books I had no trouble following along. I loved it start to finish. Five great big stars on this awesome book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
