honest and real life example of a redeemed life

There's so many moments in this audiobook that had me pause and go back to repeat because of how strucking it was. hearing you tell your story also felt like a long form version of your youtube videos and a very real, vulnerable sit down with a friend, listening to them share their life story. The earlier parts of your life Ahn Lin were painful to hear because trauma and dysfunction are an unfornate part of most people's lives but even in the pain you still left me encouraged and dropped so many gems that will stay with me. thank you for this audiobook❤️

Building Your Forever Home: Not Easy, But Worth It

I've been following Anh Lin for years and seeing hwr build a beautiful life for her family and for others really gives me hope and inspiration. This book struck a chord in me where boundaries in relationships are concerned and it has not been an easy read - it has challenged me to re-evaluate the relationships I have - with God, myself, my authority figures, and those closest to me. I can especially relate to her relationship with her mom and this has challenged me to be very honest with God & myself about this relationship. I still need courage and wisdom to apply this, but I keep praying for her. I know my mom loves me and I her. It's true what Anh said that boundaries are most needed among those closest to us, since these people also have the most power to influence and shape our lives. I love the illustration of boundaries being fences instead of walls, and her story of stepping back and drawing clear physical boundaries between her and a loved one was both heartwrenching but truly necessary. I can't imagine how difficult the journey must have been. But, as it has been said, the journey of building your forever home is always worth it, because God delights in your welfare and wants to give you a future and a hope and HE is worth it. This is a really good and soul-searching listen! Thank you, Anh!

So I found Anh casting for a reality show. Her style isn’t something I lean in to but I felt drawn to her so I followed her on socials outside of my work. When she mentioned a book I was intrigued and I absolutely love what she’s written. I’ve experienced trauma and love Jesus and this is a beautiful blend of help and hope.

I’m so thankful for Ahn’s vulnerability and wisdom-sharing. This book is a treasure. I’m sure I will be listening to this again in the future.
