Sooo good! #AudiobookObsession

Loved this story! I was looking for a Vampire book with sex and suspense! I wish the book could have been 4 hours longer! Jason and Lucy were on point with the narration. When Jason spoke with an Irish accent it got my lady bits going and I loved how Lucy was able to go back and forth with a female and Male voice without it being awkward.

They helped to bring this story to a level simply reading it would have never done. Highly recommend this audio and will be looking for more from these narrators.


Wow! Talk about dynamite coming in small packages! That’s exactly what I got with this novella!

After spending her adulthood trying to find a cure, Riley is left to face the fact that she is dying. As a last hoorah, she takes a trip to Ireland where everything she thought she knew about life and herself is changed.

Riley was a heroine who held my heart as she bravely faces what the future holds. But when a memory of dark eyes is followed by a dinner arrival and then a semi-chase through town leaves her in the hands of a group of vampires, she finds herself struggling between fighting and yielding to the inevitable.

Declan realizes he made a horrific mistake in following Riley. One taste of her blood and he was addicted, but it’s more than that and he’s intrigued enough to insert himself into her life just a bit. Unfortunately, his actions have now landed her in the hands of vampires that will have no qualm killing her and he is working on borrowed time to find and rescue her.

While I really liked Riley and her fierce independence, it was Declan that stole my heart. He is that perfect hero that has an instant attraction to the heroine and then finds himself needing her despite what he knows is the right thing to do, which would be to leave her alone. Of course, finding her in harm, he can’t do that and what follows is the beginning of a relationship that has no hope of ever developing into anything.

For such a short little story, this book held quite a punch. There was a ton of action, drama, horror, and heart wrenching romance between two people that are each facing insurmountable odds. With each additional layer to this story I thought I was going to lose my freaking mind. I thought this was going to be a laid back easy read/listen and boy was I wrong. This novella sucker punched me! And I’m usually not a fan of novellas, but this didn’t feel like one…until it ended and I was left wanting more of Declan and Riley.

Highly recommend this vampire romance that can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read any in the series and I wasn’t lost at all.

Great story!

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. Loved characters and storyline. Narrator is one of my favorites so he can never go wrong. Love his voice!

Forever Kept

I really enjoyed Forever Kept. I liked the uniqueness of the story and how her blood affected vampires. It's not often that I read/listen to Vampire stories that have unique aspects such as the ones presented in this one. I will definitely be searching for more by Patricia Eddy.

The audio quality was great. The narrators worked well together and the accents they portray were convincing.

Riley💘Declan! Fantastic PNR & Audible Listen 🎧

This is the second book from the “Vampire Brides” series that I have had the pleasure to enjoy. They are a series of stand-alone novellas and “Forever Kept” is Patricia D. Eddy’s contribution and wow what a contribution it is. She is such a creative writer, I am amazed at how much story she fit in to her novella. Her storylines are original, imaginative and interesting, they captivated me from start to end. The characters she created are complex and well developed. Dr. Riley Scott, a scientist was born with a rare blood disorder, she studies hematology hoping to find a cure. With time running out for her she decided to go on one last vacation and traveled to Ireland. Declan, a 300 year old vampire, is drawn to Riley. He summons her to have a taste of her blood and finds there is something to her and he needs to find out what it is. I loved how everything played out, his pursuing her, she stumbling upon trouble and the twists of what her blood can do and who wants her for that blood. I highly recommend this fast paced story, it has it all, drama, twists, mystery, suspense and some hot romance. Patricia D. Eddy thank you for this greatly enjoyable story!

I listened to the Audible edition, Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring the characters to life, give each their own unique voice and personality. Awesome job on the different accents too, loved Jason’s Irish dialogue. It is a pleasure to listen to both these talented storytellers. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Forever Kept was such a fun book. I loved the twist to the typical vampire novel. The suspense of the warring vampires and chase of the vampire hunters was enthralling and kept me listening. If you're looking for a unique PNR then pick up Forever Kept.

Really great!

Cool setup for the story. Declan’s a vampire that allows his huge house to be shown to tourist. The tours allow him to be a bit reclusive because he can just take a sip from a tourist. Riley has an illness that she’s not expected to live long with, so she is in Ireland as sort of a bucket list type thing. Declan sees Riley and feels drawn to her, but she’s human so he doesn’t want to bring her into his dangerous world. Unfortunately, Riley ends up in danger anyway. Wonderful connection between Riley and Declan. I did want Riley to think things through before she would just say no to things; I mean, you are dying woman! Give things a little bit more thought before vetoing anything. There’s some really sweet moments; plus some good spice. Loved the Irish setting and the author added some interesting unique ideas. I did want a bit more to the ending, but the whole story was entertaining. Plus, the narration is great! Both the female and male narrators did great. I especially like the tone of the male narrator.
