Personally but relatable

Excellent read. All of Charlamagne books are great. Well written and easy to follow and understand.

Damn! He is a god!

Charlemagne speaks to all of us without bias of race or gender or belief. It has been a long time since I have heard and listened to such a reasonable inclusive voice. Charlemagne does not care what your hobbies are, he wants you to be a reasonable human being. He encourages you to listen to other people and share with others. My being an old white man, found him full of wisdom and rational thoughts. Not everyone will welcome his perspective, but in my opinion, he is wise beyond his years, plain spoken, and YOU need to listen.

Honesty and truth. Sometimes it hurts

I love the refreshing views about looking at yourself and cutting through the BS. Charlamagne is a true role model for everyone.

Knowledge is the key! To know is golden...

Powerful

This book was everything I needed. It was brilliantly written and it gave me insight on my life from an accomplished elder point of view and it shook up my deep/secret thoughts, insecurities, and actions. I am so thankful that I am able to understand the message and have access to this knowledge. Listening to this book made me feel relived and combated those thoughts of “I’m crazy” and left me feeling empowered and connected because I’m not the only one dealing with imposters syndrome, trauma, anxiety, and small talk .. CtheGod has been my social media God Father since I heard him on the Breakfast Club and it’s because he has a trusting, powerful, and connected spirit. I’m a 30 year old woman and this book is a game changer for me. I get to spend my next 30 years making shit happen instead of focusing on the inconsequential small shit. He was honest, vulnerable, transparent and himself. I am very thankful for this book. He was talking that real shit! 10/10!!!!!!

Necessary

Great listen! Helped me reflect on how I am utilizing my time. The conversation regarding hip hop was also important.

The book was relatable, funny and added thoughtful insight into our everyday conversation. Good work!
