The random music is ruining the book

I’m enjoying the actual story but the random music is killing the experience. I hope they remove or edit it, it shows up randomly in the middle of paragraphs or the story

Not my favorite SEP book....

If I could rewind time and not choose this book, I'd do it. I struggled with the characters a bit and found the book depressing throughout. Although I felt for their struggles and rooted for each character to overcome their own hurdles, it is a far cry from my absolute favorite book from SEP, Match Me If You Can, which I've listened to several times and laugh each time. Glitter Baby won't get a second listen.

Another great SEP book

I love SEP books and this one didn't let me down. I knew it was one of her older books but from what I read on her web site she updated it before releasing it. I was so sucked in I couldn't stop listening. The narrator did a good job but don't expect Anna Fields (I don't think anyone can top her fantastic voice - bless her I miss her!) but this was really good. Well worth the money and/or credits.

loved it!

I haven't found a book by Susan Phillips that I don't like. This one was fun and kept me wondering about where it would lead me next. The story line was good and unexpected. I would definately recommend this one!

Another good one from SEP

Another good one from SEP. quite convoluted and some of the characters a little far fetched but all-in-all an entertaining romance.

It was OK

I'm a huge SEP fan...listen to her books over and over..especially the Chicago Stars series(LOVE Natural Born Charmer). Glitter Baby was well written, but the characters were just difficult to like. Wasn't the sassy cute style of Ain't She Sweet but it is worth a listen.

Dark for SEP

This book is different than most for Ms. Phillips. No one is happy and its not funny, but its still a good story.

Where's the humor?

I missed the humor I have come to expect from Ms. Phillips's books. The story line is good but it is a bit of a downer. The title sounds fun but the book, unfortunately, is not. I went back and read some of the other reviews and I agree with most of them. If you have listened to many of her books and are a fan of her work, you will probably be disappointed in this book. Not that there is anything wrong with it. It is actually a good story, very well written. It's just that when I pick up one of her books - I'm looking for FUN - not melancholy.

The narrator had big shoes to fill. While she did a good job with this book, no one is Anna Fields! That lady will be missed by all of us for many years!

Good book, less than sterling narration

I have loved almost every SEP book I've read - and I've read almost all of them. One exception is Glitter Baby. While I was happy that I read/listened to it, the narration was annoying and made me not enjoy the listen. The narrator whines a lot - or at least draws out her words so that they sound whiney. I realize that she has very big shoes to fill in the narration; Anna Fields was arguably just the best, specially for SEP banter. A SEP fan will enjoy the book, but may have to get beyond the narrator to truly enjoy this book.

Great Book...but what is up with the music???

I love SEP and I love how her books are all tied together. However, the music in the audio book is horrible!! It came out of the middle of nowhere!!!!! Very cheesy and way out of context...if there is going to be music, at least put it in the correct places!!
