Publisher's summary

The man was gorgeous, sitting astride his Harley Davidson, mysteriously parked on a moonlit strip of sand. At thirty-seven, Christine Moore had a world-class case of burnout: career blues, no husband, no children, an imperfect figure, and dimming expectations. "I'm going to show you a peace so beautiful you'll probably forget what your life has been like up until now," he said. Who was this guy? "My friends call me Joe. Others call me 'God' or 'Higher Power.' You can call me whatever you're most comfortable with." Right.

But he knows about her, every one of her heart's desires. A sweet serenity settles over Christine. And so the journey begins, a triumphant odyssey of self-discovery that illuminates our souls. As we join one woman's inspiring quest for healing and life-changing truths, we discover six powerful precepts that offer the deepest peace and fulfillment we can ever know. Every woman longing to experience the joy of loving and of respecting her true self will find comfort, guidance, and hope in the simple, profound secrets to an enlightened and enriched new life that Christine learns.

Still as good as I remembered

I used to have the cassettes of this way back in the 1900s. Back when $51 highlights and going to the library to look things up—things she mentions—were actual things.

I don’t believe in a god or souls, but no matter our beliefs, we all still have to figure out how to live our best lives. The lessons Christine has to learn are universal, and we all need to be reminded now and then.

And this along with The Holy Man, The Alchemist, and Illusions are my favorite allegories. Anytime I need to be reminded of what is—and isn’t—important, I break out one of these and listen. I’m happy God on a Harley is in my Audible library now.

A New Way...

As someone raised Christian—whose views have radically changed as they've aged, mind—this is most certainly a story that came to me at the right time.

Exposing a bit if myself, I was cheated on not five months ago by the man I believed—and still do sometimes—was my soulmate. It shattered my worldview, and me as a person. Coming out of a lifetime of intermittent abuse and neglect, he seemed the answer to both my prayers, and my resilience to be a stronger, happier person. I hadn't been looking for him to fill a void, but he had anyway.

His loss still haunts me, but each day I crawl closer to that actualization of self I so crave, on my own terms though a new and healthier partner stands beside me.

This book is a short one, and I can listen to in in one sitting, as I will many times from here on out when the bad days and thoughts come for their dues. I'll find and forge my own commandments, and in the meantime take joy from other people's—and Christine's—successes, and my own mounting victories.

The future is scarier and brighter all at once, but I am stronger and wiser right along with it.

exceptional rule book

over the past years I have bought this book many times for people to read and giving it to a lot of people especially younger people. I have listened to it over and over again on Audible and I can never get enough of it. the people or to just sit and listen to God they would hear everything that he was saying just like in this fable. it is truly an amazing little book and I think everybody should read it.

Love

I have read this 5-6 times. I write ideas that I get that I can apply to my life. I have never been able to pick it up and put it down until it’s complete. Such a beautiful way to think of myself, my relationships and my life. And now I’m off to clean out yet another closet.
