"Classic fairy tales" Most I didn't know

"Inspired by classic fairy tales, but with a dark and sinister twist" Most of these stories I had never heard before, but I absolutely loved them so much, I had to have the hard copy of this book to retell over and over again, My absolute favorites, where the stories I didn't even know existed! I've read Brothers Grimm story tales, but these have way more detail, and don't feel rushed. I need more! My only qualm, and it's a small one at that, It was a little difficult telling when one story ended and another began, but I caught on! And will recommend this to anyone who will listen.

amazing

the stories are great if yoy life fairy tales with a slight, messed up twist. i remember having this book in the 4th grade and wanting to read it again so bad, it's funny understanding more about the story now that I'm 13. the author's emotion in the performance is amazing also. 100% reccomend.

Two beauty and the beast stories was a bit much.

I did like many of the retellings and original stories though. Not worth the price imo

More adult than young

I will not be finishing this and will be exchanging it for something else. It's been classified as YA but is way too mature. The reviews do not make this clear. Because it is a collection I started several but could not finish them. I did enjoy the Raven Princess to the end. But after so many failed starts I stopped even starting them. I don't mind the dark villianous vibe, but the sexy details are a total turn off.
It was well read.
